• The church

  • A large monastery in the capital; houses the sisters, Grandmother, and unwanted or neglected children; hospital; seeks justice and devotion to God; protect the innocent and pure

• The sisters

  • Witches; all possess grey eyes; given to the church at birth because of parents knowledge of their purpose and fear of the child; black tattoos all over their bodies (depict stories of religion and state their job within the sisterhood); draped in heavy cloaks, when in the privacy of the section of the church restricted to the public they wear black cutoff crewnecks and black slacks, all clothing is black; no name (just sister); required to make one pilgrimage to meet The Grandmother if they don’t live in the capitol

• Grandmother

  Vibrant violet eyes; always wears thin black cloaks that cover the top of the head; Lives for 150 years; at the time the previous Grandmother passes the new one is born; the young grandmother will refer to the previous GM’s apprentice (a sister) as mother; it is the apprentice’s job to find the new Grandmother; acquires own apprentice towards end of life; Has name (EX: Grandmother Byeol); Called Grandmother because she provides infinite wisdom about the church and is the leader of it; Tends to fight for all peoples rights.

• Orphans

  • (Kids unwanted, neglected, or parentless); Help tidy the church; participate in services; assist in medical situations; when old enough are able to move away from the church and live like normal people; adoption is not a thing; wear all black clothing to signify they come from the church

• Grandmother Nabi

  • Latest grandmother; doesn’t claim one of the sisters as mother but claims Daehyun (an orphan) as appa; Butterfly mark in the center of her chest (I believe that Nabi means butterfly in Korean)

• Daehyun

  • Blond; orphan/property of the church; Grandmother Byeol’s apprentice; the one who Grandmother Nabi calls Appa; stealthy; sly; loves cheesecake (his ultimate weakness other than Nabi); skilled in spying; handy with a knife; good at stitching people up; long lost brother of the BAP squad;
