[SONG JI HYO]

The crown princess of Korea, Song Ji Hyo, was raised in Cheongdeok Palace for most of her life. Instead of attending school like any normal student, she was tutored at home since she was young. Despite her royal upbringing, Ji Hyo is down to earth, although she can be a bit blank when it comes to mundane things of ordinary life that she isn't quite used to yet. However, Ji Hyo always means well and she is intelligent and well-versed in many subjects even the ones that people don't expect her to be proficient in (hapkido and kuk sool), perfectly poised to inherit the throne, she is very curious about what lives ordinary people lead and secretly attends a prestiged high school under the psuedonym "Cheon Seong Im." Her struggles to adapt to the life of an average Korean student tend to be amusing, as although not arrogant, she is prideful and reluctant to ask for help which coupled with her naïveté make for a comical situation.

[KIM MYUNG SOO]

An idol of a band, Infinite, "L" is a popular student among the female population, though he is somewhat closed off and quiet. Most people misinterpret him to be cold, but he is simply more slow to open up than the other members. He is well-mannered, but can be very stubborn and almost childish, which are not things that most people expect considering that he seems so enigmatic. He is actually humorous and very sweet, though people rarely see that side of him. Despite his cool image, the fact is that "L" is easily lost in his thoughts, despite his cool image, and incredibly disorganized. Above all things, he loves music and it's his passion, he can be very distracted in his classes, even though he's very smart, although in music, he is always focused. He comes from an affluent family and attends a school in Seoul with close ties to the royal family.

[KIM JONG-IN]

A close friend of the Princess and her brother, "Kai" has known Ji Hyo since they were young, when they both attended the same private institute to learn piano. Even though both of them eventually dropped out of the class, the two kept in contact and he still remains very close to her. "Kai" can be very rude and abrasive to most people, but around his friends, "Kai" is affectionate and considerate. Few people call him Kim Jong-In, although when Ji Hyo is frustrated with him, she will often use his real name. One of the things she teases him about is her athleticism, although he will often retort by commenting on her messy, sweat-soaked appearance after she practices, much to her chagrin. He is very close to her and is one of the few people that knows her secret.

[SONG JOONG KI]

The prince of Korea, Song Joong Ki is Ji Hyo's younger brother by a year, and is very close to his older sister. He loves teasing Ji Hyo and the two siblings are very affectionate with each other. While his sister is more reserved, he is the opposite and often forces her out of her shell by irritating her enough to react. Joong Ki is as brilliant as his sister and even more studious, he can be very overprotective of her and cares about Ji Hyo a lot. He has no desire to take the throne from his sister and is perfectly content with being the second in line to the throne, as unlike his sister, there is less pressure on him and he is given more freedom. He is best friends with Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong-In.
