Description

Kyungsoo is the cranky pâtisserie owner who refuses to eat sweet things and Jongin is the passionate pâtissier who’s determined to change his mind. Meanwhile, vibrant waiter Chanyeol is infatuated with tsundere assistant pâtissier Sehun. Vaguely inspired by the manga/anime Antique Bakery. Originally posted as a 12k fic in Kaisoo Valentine Project but this version is 4k words longer with two additional scenes.

Foreword

Written as part of Kaisoo Valentine’s Project, this story was originally posted as a 12k fic but I wasn't happy with the last two segments of the story and decided to redo it. So I ended up writing additional scenes and rewriting certain parts and basically ended up with 4k of extra fic. For those of you who have read the original version on KVP, I really really hope that you will spare some time to read the last section again - starting from the New Year's Eve section break - because it's really quite different. Hopefully I've made the story flow better ... hopefully orz.

Chapter 1: I'm so hungry right now and I literally just had breakfast! Ugh I love the little bit of magic you put into this and the DESSERTS man! I adore detailed descriptions of food and my mouth was watering as I read! You did an amazing job at this fic!

Chapter 1: I loved this. Oh my god. My heart is filled with joy and this was - literally - so sweet!
Kyungsoo and Jongin's interactions were just wonderful and I adored the atmosphere you created in Sweet Nothings so much.
I also liked the way you described the side characters and especially ChanHun were magical. I liked their relationship so much and Chanyeol's happy character was even brighter than I imagined from your explanation.
I'm a er for /pinches of fantasy/ in more or less slice-of-life settings, so this was another big PLUS.
Lastly, Kyungsoo's condition made complete sense to me and I think you brought this topic up and explained it really empatheticly.

I don't regret staying up past 2am to finish reading this in the slightest, hehe.
