You're Worth The World

Description

Just a short lil thing I wrote up in like two seconds haha, hope y'all like it. ♥

Foreword

"No, Jimin. I'm worthless, and you ing know it!" Exclaimed a very overworked, exhausted male. His face was pale, eyes shamelessly displaying their lack of rest. They were bloodshot and swollen, and it almost looked like he'd been crying recently, which he probably was. His build was tall, and somehow muscular. "I can see it in your face; the way you look at me." He rasped, voice hoarse and strained. He'd been choking back the lump in his throat, doing his very best to ignore it. "I'll never be good enough. You deserve so much better. We both know it."

Jimin, who'd been seated at the time, stared back up at Namjoon. He hated when he got like this... Of course he loved Namjoon. He was more than enough. Even the male's flaws had him cracking goofy smiles left and right. "Hyung, that's not true." He returned, leaning forward a bit as if it would help him get his point across. "You're not worthless. You never were worthless." He spoke softly, attempting to coax the distressed male with cautiously picked words and tone of voice. Namjoon's insecurities always got the best of him, and there was nothing he disliked more than watching him break down in doubt like he was now.

Jimin chose to purposely ignore the fact that Namjoon suspected he didn't find him to be "enough" by just the looks on his face, simply because he knew he was lying to both himself and the male in front of him. It almost seemed like he /wanted/ to be put down, but Jimin knew exactly what was happening. He was desperately searching for help, begging Jimin to stay by his side; to pick up his broken pieces and mend them, making him whole again. It seemed to be working as of late. When he first met Namjoon, he was an emotional disaster, doubting everything he did. And that's when he knew he'd be the one to fix this being. He wanted it more than anything, and he was slowly succeeding as these breakdowns were becoming less and less frequent.

Jimin's voice was firm, but, as aforementioned, soft and comforting. He made sure to always speak this way during these times, as it'd been the most effective method.

Namjoon's breaths were stressed, heavier than they should have been. His face had been twisted into an expression that could only be named pain and doubt. So very broken...

"Why do you stay? I tell you time and time again that you're allowed to leave, Jimin. You're allowed to go. It's not healthy being around," he gestured to himself, ", around /this/. I'm a black hole... You're going to get pulled into all of this." He persisted still, his usually smooth and contained voice at a shaky edge, cracking towards the ends and middles of his sentences. "I don't want that for you." He seemed to plead, "You deserve so much better..." He repeated,  so confused still as to why this ray of sunshine wouldn't leave the storm cloud he'd claimed himself to be. Though, little did he know that the combination of the two always managed to create something beautiful out of what may not have been.

"I don't leave because there's nothing better than the best." Mumbled the younger of the two, who'd been studying his deep brown and troubled eyes that'd been hidden under his fallen forelocks. The statement had been cheesy, but the statement was true. He believed Namjoon was the best thing that could have ever happened to him. Ever.

Namjoon stared back at the other. Those words had stopped him in his tracks. He'd been stricken with what seemed to be disbelief. "Jimin... That's not me." He replied, watching the way Jimin had been fighting tears. His eyes were shiny and wet, but he dared not let a tear fall. He needed to stay strong for Namjoon. So he nodded, forming a weak smile.

"Yes it is, hyung... You're so wonderful... Don't you remember how much worse you were back when we first started talking? The way you'd break down and cry without reason?" He asked, extending an arm behind him to refer to the past. "Those don't happen anymore. You're so brave, living day to day like this. You're fixing yourself, hyung. I'm proud of you." His smile became more sincere, and crinkles formed by his eyes when he smiled. Namjoon had always loved that, sometimes even planting soft kisses on those little happy folds. "I love you, you know that?" He asked the other, finding himself staring into the deep pools that were Namjoon's eyes.

He was speechless. The tears that hadn't been present in his eyes a few seconds ago now fell, leaving shiny trails on his cheeks as they made their journey down the male's pale skin. These situations always need like this. Jimin won every time. And, to be honest, Namjoon was glad. He hated feeling this way.

Jimin upped on his toes, placing a hand on each of Namjoon's broad shoulders before placing his lips on top of the other's. When he pulled back, standing flat on his feet again, he pulled on of his sleeves over his hand, wiping Namjoon's tears away. "Now smile, okay?"

And, doing just that, Namjoon replied, "I love you too, Jiminnie."
