"Kyungie!" the call came from a small boy around the age of 8 years old. The boy, Jongin, was running through the park trying to find his best friend Kyungsoo who had a scuffle with the biggest bully in their school and was so scared he ran out of the school premises. That park was the one place they would always be together when they wanted to play or even just hangout. Jongin was running as fast as his youthful legs would let him, ignoring the screaming pain in his legs and the clench of his chest that begged for oxygen as he scourged to find his best friend.

The park had many features, or at least many in the sense of he size of it compared to their home community. The park had a small grove of sycamore trees and behind that grove there was a stream they discovered years before and they treated it like their own paradise. Few people actually knew it was there, yet the water was pure and the banks were clear of any pollution. Their own serene home.

Though today, it wasn't the comforting place they could go talk for hours, no. It was the last place he had to look for his closest and only true friend. After running alongside the stream for a bit he heard sniffling more towards the trees and could the form of a small boy with his head buried in his knees. As he drew nearer, there was no doubt in his mind that it was his friend, Kyungsoo. He ran up to the crying boy and took him into his arms, letting the boy drain his sorrows to his heart and his tear duct's content.

As the crying let up Jongin looked the other in the eye, his own eyes swollen as he cried silently over the fact that someone would ever put his sweet and caring friend through such a horrible ordeal. He couldn't let the smaller, yet older boy go through anymore pain, not on his watch.

"Please...don't leave me...I-I'm sorry..." a broken and heavy yet sad voice spoke out from the troubled boy known as Kyungsoo, begging for forgiveness for something that hadn't been his fault. He reached out and clung to the chest of his only friend, once again breaking into tears. "P-Please...don't leave me...please...."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Jongin awoke with a start, staring at the darkness above his head as the shadows on the moonlit night danced across the ceiling. He reached to rub the sleep out of his eyes, only to discover that he once again cried over an old childhood memory. It happened every time he woke up from one of those dreams. It was making his heart break. Every. Single. Time. He wrote each and every individual experience down in the form of letters, documenting his feelings to the only person that could make him truly happy in hopes that he could one day see that boy again...

Please leave me a comment, upvote or subscribe, it'll help motivate me to work on this instead of my Statistics homework
