Chance Meetings

It was like before. Like the first time he set eyes on her. Glorious.
Her hair wasn't too long, it stopped well after her shoulders, long brown locks of hair framing her perfect face.
That was when he first saw her, back at the skiing resort.

She wasn't prepared for that kind of temperatures, dressing in a white dress and pale pink skirt like that, shivering almost in spasms.
He had approached her then, asking if she'd like to borrow a jacket, and she had declined politely.
That didn't stop him, not at all.

He just put the jacket over her thin shoulders, letting her settle it around her smaller frame, sighing softly as some of the warmth returned to her body.
She had bowed to him, again, politely.
She even found a way to return the jacket back to him, at the end of it all, and he still didn't know her name.

Until that chance meeting at the cafe, of course.
How is it possible, he thought, to have every chance meeting in a cafe?
Well, she was there, and he took the opportunity as it was.

'Hello, I'm Sung Jae, its nice to meet you.'
'I'm Kim Nam Joo, you look familiar..' It began, just like that.
Their first proper conversation, the tall snowboarder, and the angelic songstress.

Their first date? Well, if you could call it a date.
Up on the mountains, it was beautiful, and like a story in itself.
They got lost.

Typical, isn't it?
And because it was a mountain, it got cold.
Anyone want to guess what happened next?

'Are you cold?' he said. Probably the most obvious question in the world.
Again, the most typical, cryptic reply you can expect to get from a girl.
'No, I'm fine', she said. Even as she shuddered from the chill wind.

And his next action, oh no, I don't even have to say it, do I?
Or do I have to tell you exactly what he did?
Well, they shared that jacket, that night.

The park rangers found them the next morning, blue lips and numb limbs both.
Sent them to the hospital, sent them right back out after a few hours too.
Probably an adventure they won't be in a hurry to do again.

The next date was a little more, ah, sedate.
Just the movie theatre, with a nice little animated movie.
Nothing went wrong, of course, did you expect a long run of bad luck?

Everything went pretty smoothly after that, all things considered.
They met each others' parents. Mrs Kim wasn't all that impressed.
And Mr Yook didn't think she could do the housework.

Well, they proved them all wrong, with style.
And they got enagaged, good on them. Nam Joo's mom cried, her daughter was growing up.
So did Mr Yook, his son was finally a grown up.

They even got their own little apartment, just a little away from the train station in Seoul.
Filled it up good, with cute picures of pets, their little pet dog.
One happy family, no kids yet. What were you thinking.

Well, the story's over, just as it is.
The lesson's told, if you didn't see.
True love's simple, but not any two can be.

Author's note: This is a dedication to Saras, whos the first /other/ Pink Panda from outside of Singapore I ever met on Twitter. Huhu. And I'm not sorry about the mega unrelated title.
