Description
Lee Taemin - Orphan. Works at a bar to pay for his university fees. Best friends with Minho. Quiet and often mistaken for a coward. Always getting into trouble. Likes Soyeon but reluctant to fight over her with Minho.
Choi Minho - Eldest son of rich family. 2 years Taemin's senior and goes to the same university. Outgoing and a bit impulsive. Protects Taemin and "saves" him when he gets into trouble. Likes Soyeon and hates Jungmin.
Park Jungmin - Orphan. Soyeon's elder sister. Same year as Minho and likes him for his money. Revengeful, jealous, selfish and downright y. Hates Soyeon to the core and despises Taemin.
Park Soyeon - Same year as Taemin. Used to think he was weak until he saved her. Is slowly falling for him. Wishes Jungmin will turn over a new leaf and become a nicer person. Independent, sensitive and tries to be strong when she's actually very vulnerable.
Foreword
She remembered that day as if it was yesterday. She had scolded him for not standing up for himself. She had called him a coward. She had even slapped him. And ten minutes later, he had surprised her by protecting her from the drunkard, and surprised her further by practically beating him up with pure fury in his eyes. That was the day she first saw the other side of him. From then on, she saw it more often. From then on, she had never called him a coward again, because she had started to believe that she had been wrong, that he WASN'T a coward.
But as she gazed at his departing figure, she didn't know what to believe anymore. She thought she knew him. Well, obviously she didn't.
Who WAS he? The quiet coward who never fought for his own rights? The hotheaded maniac who beat up abusive drunkards because he hated them to the core? The sweet thoughtful boyfriend who promised to protect her forever and always?
Forever and always...she almost laughed aloud despite the tears rolling down her face. Forever and always was apparently no more than a month to him.
She didn't know who exactly he was, but neither did she care. The most important thing to her was how he treated her.
He had promised to look after her "forever and always", to stay by her side through everything, to keep her safe.
He had promised to be her protector.
What happened to those promises?
