Misery sure loves company
Description
The new school year at Hogwarts has begun and students are mostly picking up where they left off. The 'chess master' has started another chess game, skillfully using his classmates and professors as pawns while successfully pretending to be completely innocent and harmless. His best friend (who is - even after five long years - still wondering what the hell had gotten into him that he decided that befriending such an immoral person was a good idea) on the other hand, plans to have another tranquil and uneventful year - which would be certainly a very possible and realistic goal, if there wasn't a specific mysterious and quite handsome new student who truly seems to enjoy dragging him into his mess. In the meanwhile, The chess master's arch nemesis (long and pretty dull story) has apparently decided that he wants to join the game - which would be prefectly fine if he found it worth to follow a couple of simple rules. And The (adopted) half-brothers? Well, they are still happily hiding the fact that they are half-brothers, what else. It's going to be an interesting year indeed - and it would be so even if there weren't series of weird and semingly entirely unconnected events happening all over the castle.
