“I swear, Sehun, you won’t regret it.” Said man - Sehun - however wasn’t paying much attention to his friend as his body nodded consciously while his attention remains transfixed on his friend’s luscious locks of blonde hair and the attention it was receiving from everyone passing them by. His hand instinctively flew to his own head and attempted to brush through the tangled locks of dry and damaged DIY.
“What did you say was his name?” he finally averted his gaze from his friend’s majestic hair to his tanned features.
“Tsk. Have you not been listening to me? His name is Kyungsoo, Do Kyungsoo. And he has the most magical fingers!” Although Sehun highly suspects the innuendo behind Kai’s words, he nodded anyway, this time in appreciation.

Oh Sehun’s hair was in dire need of a fix. He has absolutely zero knowledge on hair care but he does know that blonde looks very good on him. Perhaps even better than on his best friend Kai, but his repeated self bleaching had resulted in some terrible knots that no comb could undo. He basically had a head of dry, frizzy and angry hair which he had resorted to hiding beneath a cap these days and Sehun was willing to fork out some money if Kyungsoo could save him from shaving his entire head. He knew bald was not the look that he wanted.

“Appointment?” Sehun was greeted by tanned skin, dark undereye circles, and what else really but a head of blonde. May he also add that the receptionist looked unfriendly to say the least, and Sehun has half the mind to exit the salon, but not before reading off his nametag – Tao. Sehun smirked internally as he entertained the thought of lodging a complaint.
“No. Is stylist Kyungsoo available?” He forced himself to sound as civilized as possible without snapping the other’s head off for his curt response.
“No—”
“He’s off today!” thankfully, another man showed up – Yixing – from his nametag, and the man flashed a dimple as he beamed at Sehun. “Would you like to see Luhan instead? He’s the only available hairstylist at the moment as his customer just called to postpone her appointment and we’re fully booked.”
It took Sehun three seconds to make up his mind. The first second to consider if his shaver at home would do the job of mowing down his hair, the second to consider if going bald was really his only option, and the third when he saw Luhan with bright smile, wrinkles around his eyes when he smiled, and his honey blonde hair.
“I’d like to do my hair with Luhan.”

Sehun gulped as he removed his cap and settled into the leather chair. Luhan was busy putting on a tool pouch around his waist and Yi Xing had fetched him some tea which he accepted gratefully.
“So!” when Luhan abruptly spun around to look at his reflection from the mirror, Sehun nearly spat his tea out. “What can I do for you today?”
“Uhm,” Sehun his lips carefully, not entirely sure if he was nervous because Luhan might be judging his hair or from the way Luhan’s eyes crinkled when he smile. He does know however, that his stomach was doing somersaults. “My hair needs fixing. And I don’t really want to shave them all off.”
“It’s in pretty bad condition, all right.” Luhan chuckled when he ran a hand through Sehun’s hair and had his fingers deeply knotted instead. “Do not despair though, for it’s your lucky day! I promise I’ll bring your hay hair back to life – without removing a single strand from your head. And if I fail or go back on my promise, I won’t charge you a single cent. How does that sound to you?”
“That’ll be great.”
“Cool! I’ll be seeing you once every two weeks from now on!”

And that was how Sehun became a regular at the salon, long enough for him to know that Tao just has a resting face and that they also have another hairstylist, Baekhyun, who Sehun thinks looks like a hooker with his eyeliner, and hairstylist Xiu Min who is obsessed with munching on baozis. Sehun is beginning to doubt whatever compelled Kai to do his hair here in the first place but one thing for sure, he’s certain that meeting Luhan would be the best thing that ever happened to him and he can't wait for his next appointment.

Number two, inspired by how proud my hairstylist is whenever he's done with my hair. I recently went to get my hair dyed a different color and I still find it funny how he is always so proud of my hair. I do think it's possible to fall in love with hair lmao!
