Kris rested his back on the oak tree as he read his favorite novel. He came back to the tree where he met Amber not because Amber told him so but because it became his favorite place in L.A.

He's from Canada but his parents had important matters to do in L.A. so they have no choice but to bring him with them. They rented an apartment and his parents wanted him to feel like the whole thing was just a vacation. Kris hated his parents for always putting business before him, their only child.

As he finished reading his book, he stood up immediately and walked back to their apartment when...

“Wu Fan!!!” the tomboy shouted while paddling her bicycle very fast to catch the teenage guy walking calmly.

“Eh?” Kris replied boringly as soon as she managed to be on his side.

“Dont act stupid. C'mon!” she said and grabbed his arm. He just then realized he's already on the girl's back, riding her bicycle.

She brought him at the ice cream shop, AGAIN. As soon as she got off her bicycle, she immediately ordered two chocolate ice cream, one with strawberry syrup. Same order she made yesterday, he thought.

When they got the ice cream, she immediately sat on the same table where they sat together before.

“Amber, why do you put strawberry syrup on your chocolate ice cream?” the boy asked, curious about the weird combination.

“I hate chocolate syrup, it looks like rotten blood. Atleast, strawberry syrup looks like fresh blood.” she said while eating her ice cream playfully.

Kris furrowed his eyebrows as he heard what she have said. It's ridiculous and he didnt know that she's that childish.

“Are you kidding me?” he told her and ate his ice cream, still looking at her.

“Do you wanna have a kick on your shin again?” she said showing her creepy eyes to him.

“Finish up your ice cream, I wanna go home and rest already.” he uttered not looking at the creepy girl in front of him.

“Idiot,” she whispered under her breath and hurriedly finished her ice cream while Kris made his way to the cashier and paid the ice cream.
