Lee Halla has been living with her family in her house by the fields since she was 10. When she was 18 years old, her parents both died in a car accident leaving her alone in the said house. After 2 years of feeling alone and lonely she finally decided to move out and pursue college in the city. She left a card in the mailbox telling the next resident to please forward her mail to her.

Halla looked at her house for one last time and sighed, “Goodbye omma and appa, I need to leave this house to forget the pain and move on with my life. I hope you both can understand. I miss you both and I love you.”  She wiped a tear that was about to fall and rode her car.

2005

Song Yunhyeong is the only son in his family and was the cause of his parent’s headache for so many years. There was never a day he wouldn’t be in trouble. His parent’s decided to build a house near the fields which is very far and secluded. As a punishment for Yunhyeong’s behaviour, they brought him there and let him live all by himself.  He couldn’t care less because he’s so annoyed with his parent’s everyday rants and wants to get away from them. “It’s not like anything’s going to change. I’m already 20 years old anyway I can live on my own.”
