It’s been two months since she last saw him in the cafe.

They weren’t friends. They weren’t acquaintance. Hell, they weren’t even on talking terms to start with. She had never approached him before, neither had he ever tried to approach her. It also wasn’t like he had ever taken a look at her despite her appearing in the cafe everyday to write her articles.   There was absolutely nothing she knew about him, aside from the fact that his name is Jongin - she knew this because she had heard the barista calling out for him to collect his order at the counter. She also knew that he usually arrives at the cafe at 11am every weekday with a book or two in his hands and leaves by 4pm.    She was used to seeing Jongin in the cafe for seven months now. But on a Tuesday two months ago, she stopped seeing him at all.    “Maybe he’s just busy today,” she thought to herself the first day he wasn’t there.   But then in the second, third, fourth… the next few days to come, she never saw him anymore.    His absence makes her wonder how is it possible for herself to miss something - or rather someone - she never had so badly. The silence at night when during her alone time kills her sometimes at the thought of him. She wishes there was something to prepare her for this heartache. But unfortunately, in this story of hers, there was no spoiler, no foreshadowing. She didn’t even know him at all. There was absolutely nothing she could do.    She continues going to the cafe everyday.    “He’s no longer there,” say her friends. “There’s no use waiting for him.”    “It’s not for him,” she sighs. “I just like the ambience there. The baristas there know my order by heart and the customers there inspire me too.”    “If you say so,” replies her friends.    Technically, she isn’t lying. It is true that she is so used to the cafe that she couldn’t leave anymore. It was also true that the different waves of customers coming in and out of the cafe inspire her in many different ways for her article-writings.    But she would also admit to no one but herself that maybe she is still holding onto a tiny tinge of hope that she would see Jongin at least once again. Because one of the greatest regrets she has now in her life is never having enough courage to approach him to say hi for the fear of rejection. If she ever sees him again, she promised herself, she would definitely greet him.    ~ (( one year later ))   “That’s the end of today’s class. Do remember to be on time for class next week.”    Jongin had just ended his last class of the week and is too tired to do anything else. All he wants is to get back to his apartment to sleep. Apartment. Not home. He will never call this place his home. There is nothing like home here, not even close. He is just here to pursue his dream, and he will be back soon. "Just two more weeks to vacation," he whispers to himself as he gets ready to leave the dance school.    As much as he misses home back in Seoul, he has never once regretted coming to London. It has always been his dream since he picked up dancing at a young age. His daily routine in London is simple. He wakes up at 7am and makes himself American style breakfast before getting ready to leave for school. He then spends about eight hours - including breaks in between - in school for different genre of dance classes. Classes end by evening and he would either stay back in school to practice more or head back home to rest for the night while reading.    Most of the nights though, no matter where he is at, it is spent missing a certain girl at the cafe he met last year before coming to London. The girl who always has A4 sized notepad and an iPad mini with her, sitting in a corner of the cafe out of everyone’s sight. The girl who would softly move her hair out of her face with a frown when they disrupt her while she’s writing.    He does not even know her name, but he misses her. A little bit too much, in fact, for a str
