Background: Being born into a somewhat wealthy family, Phoenix had a somewhat decent lifestyle while growing up. Having 2 parents which she both loved dearly, life was good. On her 4th birthday however, her father and motherhad a disagreement of sorts, which caused a rift in the family love. Afterwords, both parents split up and moved, Phoenix and her mother to Guangzhou, China and her father to Busan, Korea. Aside from the family drama, Phoenix did exceptionally well in school and also discovered her artistic talent. Her mother also recovered and became the CEO of a technology buisness. However, the happy times didn't last, for on her 10th birthday, her mother was involved in a hit-and-run and did not survive. Since her mother used to be the only family member she lived with, she ended up moving in with her dad in Korea. As she progressed in her life, she was still engaged in school, was involved in the school's art club and also started to take an interest in dancing hip-hop. The dance studionwas in Seoul and it was called Negative Motion. -Real Place!- Although she had no idea what significance it held, everyone constantly applied at that specific  studio. It was because it's instructor was no other than the dancing machine himself. (Kim Jongin aka Kai) And you'll never believe, even though she lived in KOREA, she had no idea who the guy was. Either way, she still enjoyed dancing (when their weren't fangirls squeling and making her lose focus) Then again, all happy things have their endings. While her father was away on a buisness trip, he recieved fatal gunshot wounds while trying to stop a confrontation between 2 men. Devastated at losing both parents, 13 year old Phoenix was then shipped to America to live with her aunt, her last living family member. Phoenix continued to draw, dance and go to school but her grades were steadily dropping. Her 14th birthday initiated the slow downfall of her life. In February of the same year, she stopped drawing. June, she gave up dancing. And in November, was when she stopped trying in school. Even after slacking off in the last couple of weeks of school, they let her pass out of sympathy and also because they knew what she went through and what she was capable of. During her summer (8th grade summer) she became very lazy, also discovered her inner gaming beast thanks to the Xbox and couldn't seem to get food out of her head. She basically became a hermit. 9th grade grade came around and she was still just taking up space. But in the middle of the school year, her aunt discovered she had stage 3 cancer. This came as sort of a reality check to her and she immediately snapped back to her old self. As soon as Christmas break ended, she immediately went back to working in school, in which her grades dramatically improved.  The teachers were astounded at her improvement. Soon, her aunt couldn't go to work anymore. Worried about losing as well, she applied for any jobs she was old enough for. But it was all in vain, for in her 10th grade year, her aunt passed away. But Phoenix did not know about this, for she was in school when it happened. All she knows is that on the last day of school, she came home to 2 black vans outside of her aunts house. 12 men dressed in casual wear came out of both vans, 6 from each. They looked foreign...They all walked towards Phoenix, then made a lop-sided circle around her. One that was a bit taller than her with bleached hair parted down the middle stepped up to her and said in choppy English, "Are you...Peenix Moonstar?" . She, completely surprised and in a daze, accidentally replied in Chinese, "Ye-yes..."  "Oh, you speak Chinese?"  "Yes.."  "Well the Chinese hyungs can finally have someone to talk to." , a tall guy with frizzy hair and a deep voice said, causing a couple of them to chuckle. "Hyung, " said a guy with an  'I-could-care-less' look. "I thought they said she spoke Korean?"  "They also said she could speak Chinese as well Sehun." "Oh.." said 'Sehun'. "Anyways," said 'frizzy' , "where's Kris at? He can speak better English than all of us." A super tall guy with silver-ish white hair shouldered his way past 'Bleach' , "I'm right here Chanyeol."  "Ah!" said 'Chanyeol' , "So then make yourself useful and translate."  "Aish," said Kris and he pinched Chanyeol's cheek, "you brat. Who do you think you are to speak to me like that?" ~Several hours and 'phoenix beating' later~ Phoenix was now inside a plane flying to who knows where. /Everyone speaking in Korean now unless in indicated otherwise\ She was currently sitting in between Kris and this guy who looked like he hadn't slept in years. "Sorry about them, " said Kris, "they aren't the most subtle bunch."  "It's fine, " she said, "no need to apoligize." And from there, EXO basically adopted her into their little family. (And i think you can guess who became her 'mother' and 'father') Suho paid for an apartment for her in Japan to live and go to school there. Apparently they had really good colleges there.
