It has been 3 weeks since I had been engaged to Bang Yong Guk and everything has been smooth sailing since.

“Jin dear, when are you planning to buy a wedding gown?” His mother asked me

“Oh right ttal! I know of a great bridal shop in Busan” My mother butted in.

I am currently having a lunch date with my mother and my future mother in law. They have offered their assistance for the wedding preparations. As much as I’d like to turn down their offer, Guk says they were only doing what any mother would do so I should give them a chance and he assured me that the final say would always be mine.

“Umma, isn’t that –“I was cut off since my mother in law has something to say

“Omo! I heard of that shop too! My friends say the designers there have exquisite taste in fashion and they only use the best fabrics in the world” My mother in law added “Your mother is right Jin, we should go there” She added

“Ah, N-Ne” I could only agree. Since they’ve both made up their minds; what’s the use of arguing? It’ll only lead to a conflict. Come to think of it, I am in a better situation than most brides to be since my mother and mother in law gets along with each other.

“Isn’t it a bit early to shop for a gown? I mean the wedding is 3 months away” I reasoned

“Nonsense! Their gowns are custom made so it’ll take some time before you get it” My mother reprimanded

“When are we leaving for Busan, then?” I gave up on reasoning. Way to go Yongguk, I really have the final say here.

“I say the sooner, the better” Yongguk’s mom answered then my mom nodded in agreement “I’m not on call this weekend. How does that sound?” I asked as I checked my planner

“That’ll do” My mom responded “But you have to make sure that the hospital won’t contact you during the weekend and make you comeback earlier than planned, arasso?”

“But Mom, that’s impossible. What if something happens to my patients while I’m away?” I tried to reason

“My, I regret sending you to Medical School” She muttered “Just try to avoid that from happening, okay?” She compromised. I smiled happily; they know I couldn’t leave work for a very long period of time. A weekend is in fact, the longest I’ll be out in the hospital without issuing a leave.

“But mom” I started “Does buying a gown take that long?” I asked

“No it doesn't but we’re going to use that opportunity to have some time together” She answered “together with me and your mother in law”

“Like seriously? You’re not bringing Guk with us?” I asked “I’m sure he’ll oppose to this. He doesn’t allow me to be out in Seoul without him”

“No, he won’t. You’re going to be with us, Jin. That’ll put him at ease” Yongguk’s mom assured me. I just nodded then looked at my watch

“Oh my, Lunch time is almost over. I need to go” I said then fished out some bills for the payment “I’ll get going first. Bye Mom, Bye Mom” I bid farewell then I heard their laughter while on the way out of the restaurant.

I walked back to the Hospital and thought about what my wedding would be like. Truth be told, I just want a simple wedding, only having the closest friends and family members around. I don’t want something flashy and big but our moms think otherwise.

As I entered the hospital, I immediately went inside the doctor’s lounge, only to find it almost empty

“How was lunch with two mothers both pestering you?” Eun Ji, one of the senior doctors asked then laughed

“It was overwhelming but I survived” I answered with a smile then sat on my chair

“My, he’s such a lucky guy, that Yongguk” She told me and I couldn’t help but smile wider

“I’m luckier” I told her “His mother doesn’t eat me out” I joked then she laughed

“I wish my mother in law was like that” She muttered and pouted like a child “Oh well, I’ll leave first. I have to do my rounds” She bid goodbye then left.

I looked at my clipboard and decided to tidy up my Patients’ Records before doing my regular afternoon rounds. Work passed by like a blur and nothing big happened during the afternoon that required me to stay after my shift ends.

I collapsed on my chair and fished out my hand phone to check for messages.

3 messages, 2 missed calls from Tigger

It says on the screen. I unlocked it and read the most recent one.

I guess you’re still doing something since you haven’t replied to any of my messages

Do you need to stay longer at the hospital?

Call me when you’re done so I can pick my wifey up <3

-Tigger

I immediately called him and he picked up in just 4 rings.

“You’ve reached your chauffeur A.K.A your future husband” He jokingly said

“Nice one, Bbang” I laughed “I’m now officially relieved of duty” I informed him while glancing up the wall clock.

“I kinda figured that out on my own, y’know” He chuckled then I heard the car engine come to life.

“Hmm, you sure you didn’t ask a psychic?” I then giggled

“I’ll be there in 15 minutes” He informed

“Yah, are you driving right now?” I asked

“No, I’m biking” He answered sarcastically. I mentally rolled my eyes and laughed

“You know it’s dangerous to drive and be on the phone all at once” I warned him “Love you, Bye”

“I’m perfec-“I didn’t hear his complete sentence because I hanged up on him. I’d rather be rude than to have my fiancé lying in a hospital bed.

I gathered my things and removed my coat and left the office.

As I exited the facility, I immediately spotted my fiancé leaning against his car and looking all cool and what not. I chuckled then walked near him

“Excuse me sir but this is a hospital, not a photo shoot” I told him

“Am I really that handsome that you’ve mistaken me for a model, hmm? I was just waiting for my fiancée” He replied, my favourite smile creeping up his face

“You’re so full of yourself, you know?” I joked then hugged him “How was work, dear?”

I felt him wrap his arms around me and nuzzle his face in my hair

“Hectic but bearable, yours?” He asked, not letting me go

“Nothing new, Still…saving lives, that’s all” I grinned widely then he laughed

“Let’s go?” He let go and opened the passenger seat door for me and I slid in then he jogged to the driver’s seat and entered the car as well.

“By the way, you look really dashing earlier” I complimented him then he blushed as he looked down and smiled “Ahw, what a cutie~” I couldn’t help but pinch his cheeks and coo over his adorableness

“You made a big mistake, Nam Se Jin” He said seriously that it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand “No one, and I repeat no one pinches the cheeks of Bang Yong Guk”

“Uhm, not even your pretty fiancée?” I tried to sound like I was joking

“Not even her, you need to be punished” He smirked then I felt a tingling sensation on my stomach. I burst out laughing. Oh great, my weakness.

“G-Guk! Stop it! HAHAHA!” I said and tried to shield my ultrasensitive stomach away from his hands but I can’t.

“Say you’re sorry first” He said as he jabbed my sides next. I let out a squeal a
