Hit Me With Your Light

Description

The story of a girl from a newly-debuted girl group called LUMOS - MAXIMA, and the struggles she and her friends face as being the first mainstream all-foreign K-pop group. Unsure of how to proceed, they look to their sunbaes in the industry for advice on how to deal with the hate.

Foreword

LUMOS - MAXIMA is a female quartet with Lim Chaeri, Song Joyee, Ran Fan, and Bambi. They have just made their recent debut under SM Entertainment, and have so far been receiving different reception from the fans.

Netizens are split by the fact that there are almost no full Koreans in the group. Some see this as a good thing, as it gives international fans a chance to contribute to the music they love, whereas others see this as a knock to their own country.

"First Dong Bang Shin Ki breaks up, then there's all these ridiculous girl groups of girls that are twelve years old...now we have a group of foreigners? What the hell is SM thinking?"

"I mean, sure, we have people like Amber and even Super Junior's Hangeng that are from different places, but...Chaeri is a completely different race altogether!"

"Not to sound racist, but...that Chaeri girl isn't even Asian! What the hell is that?"

"For your information, Chaeri is half-Korean. She was born in America, to a Korean father and black mother. Get your facts straight, !"

"Hey, now! What's with all this hate about Chaeri? Are you forgetting that there's Yoobin, Amber, and Hangeng? You're all being a bunch of hypocrites."

"I dunno what you're all freaking about...I think it's cool that there's a black chick in this group."

Despite all of these comments, the girls are going to fight on with all they've got and continue doing what they've dreamed of doing. With careful actions, they will try to convince all of their anti-fans that they are worth listening to.
