The storm had calmed. Bight rays of sunlight peeked
trough the curtains, and when Baekhyun moved them
aside revealing glinting snow crystal frozen on the
window, he held back the tears. 

A dark green wall of fir-trees stared back at him. The
forest seemed to be as empty as his chest felt like.
His heart was no longer swollen with happiness, but
instead crushed into ashes.

And like the shore separates sea from land, the door
he's about to step out of will separate him from his love. 

"Will I see you again?"

Baekhyun heard the crack. A voice that used to hold
courage and determination, was now laced with fear
and uncertainty.

He hesitated to answer. "I hope so." He let out a
breath he had been holding in without realizing.

There was no goodbyes exchanged before Baekhyun
unlocked the door, letting the cold crispy air hit him.
He took a heavy step forward, then a second, and a
third one. He walked faster and faster, because if he
didn't leave now, he'd never leave, he'd turn around
and run back to Chanyeol's arms.

But he had to go.

The border is longing: when both have fallen in love
but still haven't said anything. The border is to be on
the way. It is the way that is the most important
thing.
