His father asked why he was sulking as he ate breakfast the next morning.
"He's not sulking, dear; he's brooding," his mom corrected with a smile. He simply grunted in response. He was sort of grateful that his mom had used a manlier term...
...but he was not sulking/brooding!
Walking to school was a routine. Getting on the subway was another routine. He yawned as he casually watched the people filling in and out the crowded train. Students, businessmen, middle-aged housewives heading to the market...
But then, as if the heavens hated him--
He saw her.
Wearing his school's uniform.
