hello everyone!! this is my first story that i've ever published and im super nervous lol it's so cringeworthy but its 1 am and i was rlly bored and bam baekyeol!!

Baekhyun opened the door to his favorite cafe, welcomed by the chime of bells above him. Quiet classical music and the aromas of coffee wash over him as he walks in, his clunky boots resounding loudly in the relatively quiet place.The place is strangely deserted, although Baekhyun supposes that makes sense because of the hour. He takes a second and smiles happily when cool air comforts his sweaty body. Damn myself and my sense of fashion, he thinks as he regretfully glances down at his black skinny jeans and large knitted sweater. Baekhyun sighs and proceeds to make his way to the counter.

As he checks his phone, speedily texting his best friend Jongdae, he hears a crash from the back of the kitchen which is followed by a small groan. Baekhyun jumps at the sudden noise and waits a few seconds.

“Um, hello? Are you alright?” He calls out.

“Yeah, yeah.” A deep voice responds, a cough accompanying the words.

Baekhyun slides his phone in his back pocket and shuffles his feet. Moments later, a really, really tall man walks through the doorway, a small frown present as he puts a Hello Kitty - It is NOT cute, Baekhyun tries to reassure himself - bandaid on his index finger.

“Sorry about that, I tri-... fell for you.”

Baekhyun is frozen to the spot, his eyes wide. Did he just direct a pickup line to me? The man gave a cocky smirk and Baekhyun thinks he’s the most attractive man he’s ever laid eyes on. The man had dark, short amber hair and doe like eyes that weirdly made Baekhyun’s heart flutter. The handsome barista gave a huge smile and Baekhyun felt a blush coming. What the hell, Baekhun! Get yourself together, he yelled at himself. He let out a little laugh as he tried to calm his rapidly beating heart.

“A-are you okay?”

“Yep! Nothing a tough guy like myself couldn’t handle.” Chanyeol responded, a wink thrown at him. “What would you like, cutie?”

You to push me against a wall an- Baekhyun blushed even more as he put that train of thought to a halt, not wanting a surprise . After a few failed attempts to coerce something to come out, he finally succeeded.

“Um… Uh, I’d like a small iced chai tea latte please.”

“Sure thing!”

The man - Chanyeol, he realized after a glimpse at the blue nametag - briskly started making the requested drink, giving Baekhyun a view of his really nice . He almost fainted as the new employee started humming and shaking his hips. He’s going to be the death of me and I’ve only met him less than a minute ago! God, I really need to have … Preferably with him. Chanyeol turned around with a grin in his face and a finished drink in his large (Baekhyun inwardly groaned at the array of dirty thoughts that were flying through his head) hands.

“Here you go…?”

“B-Baekhyun.”

Chanyeol handed him the aromatic drink, their fingers touching for a moment which caused Baekhyun to mentally freak out and think about everything he’s going to tell Jongdae later.

“It’ll be $2.58, Baekhyun.” The man seemed to always have a smile present on his face and his name slipping from his lips caused shivers down Baekhyun’s spine.

He gave Chanyeol the money, hoping he didn’t notice the slight shaking in his hand.

“$2.42 is your change. Thank you very much!”

Baekhyun gave him a meek smile while taking the change back. Chanyeol’s ever present grin seemed to get even bigger when Baekhyun turned to leave.

“Come again, cutie!” The larger man yelled as Baekhyun stepped out into the hot weather.

Baekhyun briskly entered his car and sat there for a moment. He’s never been so frazzled before in front of someone he thought was cute. He brought his cup closer when he saw a number from the side peek out. He turned it and a phone number with a heart next to it greeted him. Baekhyun sat still for a second before erupting into a little dance, happily turning his car on and driving back to his apartment with a pounding heart. He felt like maybe this could turn into something nice, he thought as he quickly called up Jongdae.
