Description
Hey there! Sorry for no update but I am starting this series based off an anime!
This focuses on three storylines; the main couple, which comprises the bulk of the chapters, and two other male couples that provide ongoing side stories (Pure Egoist and Pure Terrorist).
This series follows 3 couples:
BangLo - Pure Romance
Neo - Pure Egoist
MarkSon - Pure Terrorist
They're all connected somehow,but that will be explained in the Character descriptions! As well as others whom will make a apperance! :D
Character Descriptions:
Bang Yongguk
- Bang Yongguk: Is a 25 year old popular author of fiction and BL (Boy love) novels,and the youngest to recieve the and the youngest recipient of the distinguished Yi Sang Award. Guk is Zelo's tutor for the upcoming entrance exams, and a very close friend of Himchan (he, in fact, harbored an unrequited love for Himchan for a long time). He and Leo were childhood friends. Shortly after meeting Zelo, he finds that Himchan has gotten engaged. Seeing how upset this makes Zelo on Guk's behalf, Guk realizes that he loves the younger boy and the two become lovers.
- Zelo: is the 18-year-old little brother of Himchan. At the start of the series, Zelo is about to sit for his college entrance examinations. His dream is to go to Seoul National University since that was the college his brother turned down so that he could begin taking care of Zelo after their parents died. Although seemingly childish and brash, Zelo is later revealed to be a person who is simply adamant on insisting against doing anything that might be troublesome for anyone else. This is due to the fact that he still blames himself for his parents' death (believing that if he had not asked them to hurry home, they would not have sped in the rain and crashed). Zelo and Guk eventually begin a relationship together which puzzles Zelo, who is not outwardly confident about his feelings towards the older man because of his narrow view of a typical relationship.
- Bang Yongnam: is Guk's 26-year-old half brother (they have different mothers). He is generally cold and disapproving towards his brother, though no one really knows why. After a brief appearance by him in the middle of the series he begins proclaiming that he 'loves' Zelo, but that was only after he found out how close he and Guk were. When he begins sending Zelo flowers and saying that he would take Zelo as his own, Guk claims that Yongnam was "always trying to take [his] things."
- Kim Himchan; is Zelo's 25-year-old brother, and Guk's long-time friend. He was the subject of Guk's love interest for a long time, but never noticed Guk's feelings due to him being naive. He is extremely caring towards his brother, even dropping out of school to support Zelo's studies after their parents died. Early in the series, he engages and marries Song Ji Eun. They soon move to Busan due to his job.
- Jung Taek Woon: he is 24 years-old and a long-time friend of Guk's, who is a professor at the college Zelo studies at. His nickname is Leo. He is a bit of a loner and is extremely passionate about classical Korean literature, apparently having graduated at the top of his class. Leo initially loved Guk, his childhood friend. He took advantage of Guk's unrequited love for Himchan, convincing him to wear a blindfold and pretend Leo was Himchan. Leo hoped that once Guk was intimate with him, his feelings would change. Leo soon comes to realize he could never be with Guk so long as he is in love with Himchan. He sympathizes with Guk however, since just as Guk pines for Himchan, he too pines for Guk. He has a bad temper and is feared among his students, though he is actually shy and gets flustered easily. He is often called "Devil Ahjusshi" by the students. Zelo makes reference to his 'difficult Korean literature professor' later on while on a date with Guk. Leo has now fallen in love and is in a relationship with N, who calls him Woonie.
- Cha Hakyeon: was orphaned without a name as an infant, he was named "Hakyeon" ("Hak" in Korean Hangul means Crane) by the head of the orphanage because he was found with a lone Red-crowned crane right next to him. His nickname is "N". 6 years previous to the main story, N first comes across Leo when he finds Leo crying about his fruitless relationship with Guk, and goes on to insist that Leo become his tutor. Originally studying to become a social worker, he changes his mind and is currently in training to become a pediatrician. N is very kind, understanding, and patient, and shows these traits most when around Hiroki. N is the same age as Leo, all though less educationally lacking, leading to a desire to quickly catch up to him (mostly career-wise) so the two can stand on equal ground. He shows unrelenting devotion and love for Leo, never giving up on them even when Leo seems oblivious to it. Despite his age, N is actually taller than Leo, a fact that initially irritated the older Leo.
- Wang Jackson: he is 23 years old and a literature professor at Seoul National University and a co-worker of Jung Taekwoon. He was once married, but is now divorced most likely due to his indifference to feelings and emotions. His love interest is Tuan Mark, his young ex-brother-in-law. Jackson is often playful when it comes to teasing Leo, though his true character is far more serious due to an event from his past. He once tried to kiss Leo but was stopped at the last minute by N. Nevertheless, he seems to be supportive of Leo's relationship with N.
- Tuan Mark: is an 21-year-old high school student (Went back to earn his diploma) (and the son of Seoul National University's dean of literature and of Jackson's boss) who believes it to be fate that he is in love with his ex-brother-in-law, Jackson Wang. He would very much like Jackson to take responsibility for Mark falling in love with him. He is often blunt and unreasonable, though he is shown to have a softer side.
- Kim Yugyeom: is a 19-year-old senior college student at Seoul National University and Zelo's friend. He is very mysterious and it is hard to tell whether he is serious or not, though he is not a bad person. He is the son of famous novelist Kim Jihoo. Yugyeom is also a member of the university's Onsen Research Group, ORG, which have been known for generations as makers of Korea's most terrifying haunted house. He is first introduced trying to lure Zelo away from Guk, fuelling Guk to intervene. Afterwards, both Guk and Zelo admit that they love one another. He frequently creates problems for the two, suggesting to Zelo at one point, that there might be something between Guk and Ken because he had a key to his apartment. He has later stated that he was merely using Zelo to get closer to his true object of affections, Guk. Despite this the two remain close friends afterwords, showing that he does care for Zelo.
- Lee Jaehwan: is Guk's editor, as well as friend to both him and Zelo. He is roughly the same age as Guk and is constantly pushing him to finish his work on time. On the outside he seems like a very nice mannered person, but when Guk does not hand in his manuscripts on time he is famous for freaking out and even, on one occasion, attacking him.
