Sometimes I wonder if there is a spring after death, a chance of rebirth for the frigid souls. For those who suffered the blizzard and left too soon to feel the warmth of a new beginning.
Main Characters +
Riko
A hardworking, ordinary girl with an urge to achieve something beyond her boundaries. Riko is a second year university student who is studying nursing. She seeks to exceed her capacities in the field and prove her passion towards her chosen career. Riko wishes to strive for success, however her insecurities often prevent her from moving further. She is a person very driven by others opinions and worries about what others might think of her. Despite her determination to pursue nursing, she still feels a peculiar emptiness which produces her to question the purpose of her life. She wanders about life reflectively; always thinking about the successions In her life.
Kise
the free spirited kind of guy. He follows his own current and dictates his own life. He lives alone and has no other support besides himself. Kise lives a carefree life and does not take responsibility for anything that is not a cause of himself or his actions. Kise is studying psychology, given his fascination for the human nature. He wishes to further understand the human mind and its process in hopes of eventually being able to understand himself.
Momoi
A tender, debilitated girl. Momoi has always been the given, selfless kind. She worries more for others than she does for herself.Despite her sickly childhood, she has always tried her best and placed full effort into everything.
Nursing was Riko's vocation, she believed more than anything that this was her path, her fate. Kise followed the current in which his life was traveling. He had no aspirations, goals or future plans, the present was all that mattered. By coincidence these two meet, however by fate they bind into the kaleidoscopic destiny. A friendship ties them together and connects them-like two pieces of a jagged puzzle. Slowly more and more pieces come together to give shape to this undetermined puzzle, a puzzle which reveals the path of these two individuals. Riko finds herself tangled in a web of tragedies and disillusions. The calm and steady life she had been living takes a drastic turn; forcing her to make decisions and sacrifices that might affect gravely those dear to her. All the while Kise, blinded by his emotions and unaware of the truth, fights for a love that will never survive. Two normal and unrelated lives collide, only to suffer tragedy and lose, all before a new spring.
