I remember first coming here, when I was 11years old. They told me my parents had dies in a car accident and sent me here. I remember when the police officer had told me about the accident.

‘Miss Matsumoto Reiko? I’m sorry but your parents died in a car accident earlier today. Someone had been speeding and crashed into your father’s car and they died instantly.’

I couldn’t believe it but I still cried my eyes out, just because someone had told me such a thing. It sunk in and I just cried all the time after that. When I came here, standing at the gates in front of this beautiful mansion, my parents left my mind for a minute or so, while I admired the building I was standing in front of. It was big, old ad in the middle of nowhere. Anyone would’ve thought it was really creepy and wouldn’t come anywhere near it but this creepy looking building was now my home and it thought it was beautiful.

I’ve been living here for 6 years now. I’ve been living here with my uncle. The only other family i had after my parents died. He was an old man. His days were numbered. Three weeks ago he was late for breakfast so I went to check up on him. He wouldn’t wake up. I called the ambulance; they said that he had died in him sleep. That meant he died peacefully but it didn’t make me feel any better knowing that he wasn’t in any pain. Tears still rolled down my face, until I realised I had no one now. I’ll be living alone in this giant mansion, the thought scared me. For one in my life I wanted the mean old lady that looked after uncle here. She retired last year and we didn’t need anyone else because i wanted to look after him, I knew what I was doing.
