13_ The abandoned house
SacredHyunseong just looked at the wizard from the bottom of the stairs
“Jeongmin, you’re in no condition to go out to the forest in the middle of the night right now. You’re obviously hurt, just look at your hand.” Hyunseong says with a desperate look on his face, urgently wanting to get his unconscious cousin back to the castle.
Jeongmin looks at his injured hand, obvious that it was definitely broken in some place.
“My brother can heal it really fast.” Jeongmin says, pointing behind him, where Onew was still in shock at what his little brother was saying to the vampire.
“Okay then, what about your wand? You can’t do magic without a wand.”
“I have an extra one somewhere, and I can use some of my herbs without my wand. Just please, let me go with you! I’ve been taking care of Kwangmin for the past few days now, and I want to make sure everything is going to be okay!” Jeongmin pleads to the taller vampire
Hyunseong just bites his lip, reluctant on letting the short wizard go with him. If Jeongmin can barely survive an old ert, imagine what the werewolves can do to him. Hyunseong didn’t want to think about it but…
“Fine!” Hyunseong gives in
“But hurry. I don’t know how much longer Kwangmin can hold up, and I want to get him back to the castle as soon as possible.” Hyunseong says, looking at his deathly pale cousin in his arms.
Jeongmin wastes no time, and Onew hurries to get Jeongmin prepared
-
“Youngmin wait!” Minwoo says
Youngmin was preparing himself to leave and go find Kwangmin, whether someone is with him or not. No one seems to be listening to him, since they’re all paying too much attention on defeating the army of wolves. And the last person Youngmin needs holding him back is Minwoo.
“Minwoo, it’s been too long since Kwangmin has fed from my blood and I need to go find him now. It’s getting too late, so say whatever you want, I-”
“I’m going with you”
…
“What did you just say?” Youngmin couldn’t believe what he just heard
“No matter what I say or do, you won’t listen to me and you’ll just continue doing what you want. So I have no other choice, but to go and help you find Kwangmin.” Minwoo plainly stated.
Minwoo knew he was getting nowhere with trying to persuade Youngmin to stop being rushing everything. If Youngmin won’t listen to him, he mind as well join him.
“Minwoo...I-I don’t know….thanks I guess.” Youngmin says
“It’s nothing. We should get going now, shouldn’t we? I thought you wanted to hurry and find Kwangmin.” Minwoo says, with a little bit of impatience.
“Yeah let’s go.”
With that, they both try to get out of the castle as stealthy as possible. With a high probability of wolves in a close distance of castle walls, Sacred guards are all over the town. They’re on high alert, day and night, some guards more tired than others. And if anyone sees the Lord’s eldest son sneaking out to the forest, with the castle butler right behind him, all hell might break loose amongst the town. Youngmin doesn’t have to worry about being caught by his father, as the old man is too worried about protecting the town from the filthy werewolves, that are right outside the walls.

“How much longer till we arrive to the castle?” Jeongmin ask Hyunseong in a whisper
The two, plus an unconscious Kwangmin, left Jeongmin’s house not too long ago. Onew was able to heal Jeongmin’s hand to the best of his ability, and Jeongmin was able to find his spare wand and gather the herbs he needs to repel the werewolves from them. Jeongmin and Hyunseong try to walk along the side where Jeongmin’s house is, while trying to make the least amount of noise as possible.
“I don’t know, but it can’t be too far.” Hyunseong answers
“Wait-” Jeongmin stops Hyunseong from moving any further
“What?” Hyunseong now on full alert
“I can sense a pack of werewolves” Jeongmin scans the dark area in front of them
“Can’t your charms repel them?”
“It can for the most part, but I can feel there’s too many of them. We’ll get surrounded fast. We should hide.” Jeongmin suggest, although he refuses with his own idea.
They need to get Kwangmin back fast, but with the werewolves, they have no choice but to hide out for now.
“Oh I can smell them now. Yeah, that’s a lot of werewolves to fight off.” Hyunseong says with disgust on his face.
He should be used to the smell by now, since he works with them at the Tribunal, but no one can get used to the scent of a filthy animal.
“Where should we hide out then?” Hyunseong asked
“Well, there’s an abandoned house nearby that we can hide out in, over in that direction. It’s right next to a lavender field, so we don’t have to worry about werewolves finding us. I’ve only seen the house a few times while walking by, so I don’t know how safe it is. Are you okay with going over there?” Jeongmin explains to the vampire
“We don’t have choice. Plus, my arms are kinda getting tired. I need to put Kwangmin do
