" ah, jeoseonghapnida I didn't see you there" I say looking worried

"oh its okay, don't worry about it " he says,

Trying to look a his face clearly to make sure nothing happened, my friends call me nervously

"Hye Sang what are you doing ?! we are going to be late for class" they say, tugging on my backpack.

" well see you later", the guy said pushing up his glasses 

Quickly walking towards the school gym for the first school assembly of the year, My two best friends Xue and Chia sit beside me almost suffocating me.

" Hye Sang, who was that ?" they say, with questioning looks on their faces 

" Oh I have no idea I just accidentally bumped my head on him " I reassure them.

 " Wait a minute, we are going to be for class, pali !!"  Chia pulls our hands dragging us

 With that, we run all the way to the Class. As soon as we got to our class, Chia and Xue and I sit beside each other until the teacher walks into the classroom.

" Hello I'm Miss Goo, your substitute homeroom teacher for this week, I hope we all get along " the teacher said with a smile on her face.

 "looking at her she seems like a nice person" ,Xue said smiling

 "but I wonder what happened with our Homeroom teacher"  Chia mummured

 "Oh your teacher is still in he U.S because he has some family issues to take care of " Miss Goo says looking like she read Chia's mind.

"Okay guys lets change our seats....shall we ? your teacher Mr Sim Jong Su already made your seats before he left last week, so here goes"

 After 10 minutes I realized Xue and Chia were on the other side of the class room and I was close to the window at the far end of the classroom.

"I feel so sad, since we always sat close to each other ever since I started living with them so we are like sisters, this is a challenge for me", I thought.

Suddenly noticing my partner I realized he was the guy I bumped my head on earlier,

" Oh we meet again my name is Park Hye Sang, I hope we get along from now on", I said  sounding friendly

but the only thing I hear from the other side is.....NOTHING!!..I repeat  in a loud and clear voice thinking he wasn't listening. And finally, I heard something no more no less than a whisper

"hmm nice to meet you too" 

During lunch break Xue and Chia walk up to me and say

"lets go to the schools rooftop to eat!!" in exited voices

"Hye Sang if you don't come,with us when we get home I'll torture you with the new tools I bought without Eomma and Appa knowing....again, but anyway please come don't leave me alone with this person" Xue says, pointing at Chia in fear and disgust.

 Chia is a kind of person who could hit you with anything she sees when you piss her off or say anything stupid but since she's a book worm she mostly uses books with very hard covers and Xue on the other hand is a sadist who gets what she wants by torturing people although Eomma and Appa don't know what she does ,if you ask anyone about her they say: "She's such a cute and kind hearted girl, if only I had a daughter just like her" but in reality she's just a devil in sheeps clothing.

 As we got to the roof top, Chia pulls me towards her

"Hye Sang, its about your seating partner I heard he's been gloomy since middle school and he also has an average of 99% in every exam he took, because of his gloominess I'll advise you to keep away from him, hmm? Noa looks,worried.

Looking at Chia's face makes me remember the look she gave me the day Eomma died and three days later Appa left leaving me in the care of her parents.

"Don't worry I'm not a baby" I hug her " I can take care of myself and besides, I think he's kinda cute acting all shy and gloomy".

"Xue I think you need to knock some sense into Hye Sang, she's lost it!!" Chia says with a beet red face,"Hye Sang are you sure you don' like him for his smart brain?" she says mockingly.

Totally avoiding the question I put my headphone on and run to the stairs

" Guys I'll be going to the schools yard, Xue put my lunch bag on my desk once you are done, Okay ?" I look at Xue stuffing her face with food.

Walking through the school yard I heard  noises coming out of the schools abandoned shed. With curiosity, I decide to trace the direction of the sound

"Ya !!! do you know what happens to nerds who Ignore us? If you don't know I'll show you" a menacing voice shouts.

Looking carefully at the vicitm, I realize he is my seat partner. As the guy pushes the him about to punch, I run towards the guy without considering the consequences and grab his hands

" Ddarawa !!! follow me" I say, and make a run for it.

" catch them !!" the gang run after us

While running for my life as well as his, I see a window leading to the science room, well it's better to be safe than sorry, so I jump in pulling the guy with me

" Go under the tables, I'll keep a close watch " I peep through the window

"I know who you are, you b*t*h, we'll meet again soon" the bully says.

 " They're gone it's safe now" I let go of his hand

Looking behind me, I saw the guy laying on the floor half-dead.

"Ya, you can't stay here"

As I tried to help him up I feel a hot sensation from him

" You're burning!".

 Worried, I pick him up, put him on my back and run all the way to the infirmary

" It's a good thing you brought him here earlier or he would have ended up in the hospital for a month, can you tell your teacher ?" the nurse says.

Feeling good about myself, I skipped to class.

A week later, I go to the nurses office to ask for pain killers,

"you need to rest some more after all you went through yesterday so, I'll motivate your absence,stay at home to rest " the nurse walks out turning to my direction 

 " oh you're here I was just about to get you, but since you are here, there's no need to do that" the nurse walks up to me

"um teacher " I peep behind him ,"who was that you were talking to, perhaps... is that the guy i helped last week...both of you look really close"

"yes he's like my nephew he always over does things, that's why he's always sick, and his name is Kang Nam, okay ?"

 "No wonder you kind of look alike" I thought,

Anyway, is he okay?, will he be able to come back to school soon? I ask the teacher with a serious look on my face

"Don't worry, you'll see him soon" he places his finger on my rinkled forehead, Girls should always smile or they might frown even though they aren't angry".

"You are a player" I say jokinglyas I take the nurses finger from my forehead

During sixth period , Miss Goo tells us to self-study in teams if we want to. Immediately Chia,Xue,and I sit together

"I don't want to study, why do we have to why!!" Xue complains almost pulling her hair out of its sockets

"stop complaining" Chia flicks Xue's forehead almost creating a dent, Hye Sang and I both know you are a lazy person"

"That hurts!!" Xue figths back

With those two pairs of eyes on me, I pray that some thing would happen so we could skip our conversation.Then answering my prayer, BAM!! the door flings open landing on the floor and some rough looking men enter

" Is threre anyone named Park Hye Sang in this class" one of the men say

"Hye Sang be careful we're going to hide you so please be quiet" the whole class smiled at me. 

Feeling secure, I smiled back, but that changed when one of those guys pulls one of my classmates by his collar, "where is she" the man says looking fustrated

"I am Park Hye Sang and p-please let him go, I'll go with you" I stammer

"Hye sang what are you doing" Chia pulls me by my sleeve almost tearing it with Xue also joining hands with tears in her eyes making me want to cry too.

"It's okay, I'll come home soon tell eomma and appa to wait for me...Okay" I give them a hug

"enough with the sentimental hugs it's time to go" one of the men take me by the arm and takes me away with the rest.

As soon as the men leaves with Hye Sang, the teacher rushes in with all the commotion only to see two friends crying and the rest of the class in trances

"What the heck happened ?!! " she says holding her neck.

When we get to the destination, a roughly dressed man walks up to me " you are quite prettier than I expected, such a pity "

He holds my hand and pulls me almost dragging me, into a warehouse. Walking through the warehouse, I feel a sudden chill on my back as if someone or something is watching me.

We walk all the way to a dark end and the man lets go of my wrists" I've brought her boss"

Suddenly, a man who looks like be the boss, appears from nowhere and sits on a gold vintage chair and stars at me

" You really look like your father, he says crossing his legs but thanks to your father, someone as pretty as you might have to die in place of him"

Hearing those words, I fall, loosing my balance

" oh don't be scared, he smiles, I didn't mean THAT, I meant you either work for me at the red light district or let one of your fingers cut off as colateral and the debt will be off or you could also choose THAT.. If you want" he chuckles.

My mind went blank, the thought of dying really makes me feel useless, all those choices really blew me off,"but on the other hand if I don't want anything to do with them I guess it's better to make thet sacrifice"  I thought

"Little Miss have you made your decision yet?" the boss looks at me, expecting me to accept his proposal.

To his demise I say" I'd rather cut my hand than have any type of relationship with all of you! "  looking astonished the boss said" Alright, you heard her, get me Yang".

"Who's Yang" I mumble. All of a sudden a strong muscled man comes into the room with a well sharpened axe in his hand.

"Boss you called me ? " Yang bowed.

"Oh you have another customer, a pretty one at that " the boss smirked.

"Put her hand on the counter" Yang ordered. 

A man walks in takes my hand and slams on the table it like it had no value. I guess he thought since one of my fingers will be cut off it won't matter.

"You are so pretty, it's a pity you are going through this but I guess you'll have to man up and countnue with what life has given you" Yang lamented.

"Hey!!, I'm the one supposed to be lamenting not you, my freaking finger is about to be cut off" I whisper, making sure no one hears me.  

"Listen up young lady, you just have to close your eyes and this will be done in a second " Yang reasurred.

"Ajusshi, I say with tears welling up in my eyes, I don't think this is going to help me with this situation so please just c-cut it off already" 

"Alright, here goes" as Yang lifted up the axe, I heard a gun shot I looked up and yang was on the floor... unconscious with a pool of blood.

"We are under attack!!!" the boss says

They were gun shots flying here and there, a man dressed sharply walks up to me, carries me like a sac and drops me in a car,.

"W-who are you" I tremble, trying to think straight.

" It's going to be alright ' he says as he put a handkerchief on my nose.

Everything became blurry.........

The moment I wake up I'm surrounded by 10 to 14 men and someone sitting on a chair with crossed legs and a black suit, you've finally woken up.. a familar voice says
