Don’t say the word sorry.

It had only been a few days since you and Jimin had been dating. So far, it was going good. Everything was just the ordinary, no change. The park, the beach, the fun fair. The places where you and Jimin spent your time together. On Saturday night, you called your best friend Yuna and told her you two were currently dating. “Ahhh! Jinjayo _____?! Daebak… how did it happen?” “He confessed to me. How he began to like me and how he couldn’t get his feelings out but the other BTS members told him to and so he did.”

“Ahh that’s so cute! You are so lucky to have Jimin…” You let out a little laugh feeling so lucky and grateful for Jimin to be in your life “Ohh… _____ , can I tell you something…”

“Sure Jess what is it?” Jess paused and drove to a halt before she spoke.  “Eu… Well there are some risks dating a KPOP celebrity… I’m just saying. Maybe it’ll be okay.” Tears started to build up in your eyes. Of course, you knew what she had meant. All the time you had read articles about situations like this in KPOP but never considered it in your situation. “Er Jess I’ve got to go now. I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Sorry-“You put down the phone and dropped your head to your hands. What would you do? Think of it as if it never happened and ignore it or tell Jimin? But the thing was, what could he do anyway?

Months passed and then a year. Things were heating up with the gossip between your relationship together with Jimin. One morning you went to a shop just to buy a few things and went back home. As usual you sipped on your tea that you just bought and sat down at the computer. Suddenly you discovered something.  An article: “BTS Jimin spotted with a female hanging out? Boyfriend and girlfriend?” Below the title was a picture! Your eyes scanned around on the article and the picture and saw that it was you. Heart beating fast, breathing rapidly you didn’t know what to do. After that to calm yourself down you went into bed because you were so upset. “______ Yah! Wake up!” Whose voice was that humming in your ear? Jimin. He shook you and you woke up. Still half-awake your eyes opened and closed, then opened.  He carried you out of bed as you couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed and off your lazy . “What? Why do I have to go outside-“Jimin still didn’t answer. He smiled at your cute face and put on your shoes for you. “Ahh guys I’m going out with ______! I’ll be back!” The members exchanged looks with each other and gave approving looks, whistling. You were so embarrassed so you shouted “YAHH!!” at them and they laughed. Jimin was carrying you on his back and he laughed too.

You felt so grateful to have Jimin as your boyfriend as he was so sweet and dorky. Finally you arrived at a place. He slowly bent down and released you from his back. The place was beautiful. It had beautiful blossom trees in pink and white, the flowers fell off and floated around in the wind. There was the bench you engraved your initials on together. You wondered in confusion. Then it clicked. “Ahhh! I remember. This is the place we first saw each other and realized we were flatmates!” “Yes it is.” Jimin opened up your hand. On your finger slid on a ring. A couple ring. On the inside said “______ and Jimin.” He showed his hand and it said the same thing. You were touched and hugged Jimin so tightly, that you couldn’t even hold back with the tears. Jimin stopped hugging you and looked in your eyes with hands on your shoulders. “J-Jimin I… I can’t do this. I love you but it’s not going to work out.” He touched your cheeks and looked confused. “What are you-Are you breaking up with me?” You nodded. “It just isn’t going to work out. Not with the gossip that’s been around with me and you. Look-I don’t want to make it harder for you than it already is. “

Jimin sighed, knowing that what you said hurt him but it really was true. He moved the strand of hair away from your face and smiled. His hands moved to your waist and created a warm feeling. Jimin’s eyes turned from cheerful to sad. You knew he loved you and you knew you loved him to but having the relationship would only make things worse. For you it didn’t matter because you weren’t an idol only he was. He brang you closer to him and kissed your forehead. You sighed and then kissed him. He didn’t hesitate. Until after a while you both drew away from each other and held hand in hand. “Bend down a little, you know I’m too short!” “Why-“You tiptoed then you kissed Jimin on the lips one last time and whispered “Hey Chimchim, don’t forget that even though we’re not together anymore, I still love you.” And just like that, you released your hands from Jimin’s hands and smiled. You could see his sadness and emptiness already but he smiled. From your break up on, things changed slightly. Before it was awkward talking to the BTS members and Jimin because Jimin told the members how you guys broke up. But it was okay, you knew it was for the best to protect Jimin’s image. Now you, BTS and Jimin talked comfortably as if the relationship never happened.
