Based on the old traditional Chinese folktale of Hua Mulan, as well as the Disney animated adaptation. As well as the 2009 live action film Mulan: Rise of a Warrior. 

I've loved Mulan all my life and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Disney really softened the reality of Mulan's situation (in my situation) when they decided to throw in Mushu and add Shang as a love interest. 

So there'll only be slight romance, to focus on the action and adventure. Of course, EXO and SMTOWN will comprise largely of the main and supporting cast with appearances by a few idols from other companies. 

NOTE: SMTOWN are mostly Korean idols, so I'll use their Chinese artistes and because I'm helplessly in love with SMTOWN's fabulous idols, I'm just going to take some idols and change their nationalities for the sake of the fic. BECAUSE. There is no way on Earth I'm going to totally warp the story of Mulan by bringing the war to Korea. Nuh-uh. So obviously, though I'll try to use as much SM idols as I can, some won't be. So don't complain when I have X number of members of EXO in the fic and your bias doesn't show. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. And read on :)
