Kim Babies, a Simtown Story

Description

a Simtown pictorial diary of one Kim Jaeling, a preteen living with her mad scientist appa, Kim Jaejoong, her acclaimed actress mama, Kim (Wang) Xinling, her karate champion older brother by a few minutes, Kim Lingjae, her adopted brother who thinks he's from outer space, Huang Zitao, her cute little baby sister, Kim Jaeling², and Manny Junsu aka Kim Junsu aka babysitter (plus many, many other... 'interesting' neighbors)

Foreword

Hi, my name is Jaeling and I'm eleven years old... I think. I'll ask my brother later and get back to you on that for sure. He's my twin brother... I think... by a few minutes. His name is Lingjae. You're probably think... 'oh, your name is very interesting... I've never met a girl name Jaeling before.' As well you shouldn't. It's a one of a kind name (except my sister shares my name to the power of two).

See... my parents are rather simple... as simple as any mad scientist and acclaimed actress could ever be. They just decided to chop their names up and piece them back together... and that's how I became Jaeling (Jae from my appa and Ling from my mama). My brother received a slightly different name... Lingjae (Ling from mama and Jae from appa, obviously).

I also have an adopted brother. He's very big. His name is Huang Zitao and he thinks he's an alien from outer space... so... he walks around wearing something like a space suit. Everyone thinks he's cosplay all the time but he's not... I don't think. Lingjae lives with him in the boat house at the pier near our house. I live in our house with appa, mama, Jaeling², and Manny Junsu who takes care of her because appa and mama are always busy, mostly with work and woohoo'ing. What in the world is woohoo'ing, you ask? I will get into the woohoo'ing later.

Oh, oh! I almost forgot about Miss Li. She's my gramma but I'm supposed to call her Miss Li... because she doesn't like anyone calling her gramma because, well, she will be young forever and ever and ever o.o Okay, Miss Li.

I live in Simtown with everyone and it's a pretty small place so everyone knows everyone. Still, there's too many to list and talk about here. You'll definitely get to meet them all in my diary so... don't worry.

I have to warn you that there will be lots and lots and lots of pictures so if you can't handle pictures (because this is a pictorial), then it's good bye. Bye! Everyone... enjoy! Oh, I sometimes mix my present tense and past tense, like a lot. I'm eleven and I'm not an A+++ student like my brother so I'm sorry :(

Next up: A Nice Saturday Afternoon in the Park

Chapter 13: Happy Holidays to you too!
Well, thanks for telling me about your brothers! I'm not a tomboy, but I do think mostly like a male. I don't dress like a boy, but in thoughts, I'm probably like them. I don't know... I guess it's because of this online test I took that says I'm 60% male in thoughts? Which is weird... O_o Maybe I just act like a boy (but not really?). It's weird that I think like a boy (maybe cause I had mostly boys as friends when I was younger) but act and think like a girl too. It's difficult to explain...
I'm rather like your brother, Tao. Yes, I do prefer being pushed on a swing rather than pushing other people but since I have no one to push me, I do it myself. One time, I just got back from school and I was still lugging around my heavy bag. I saw the swing set near my house and I decided to swing on it (with my bag still on my shoulders). I pushed myself a bit too hard and I flew (for a few seconds) before landing on my knee. I enjoyed it. ;-)
When I was a bit younger, I too talked to trees, especially when we're travelling and it's so hot. I'd keep asking my tree friends' "cousins" (aka the trees I saw) to give me a cool breeze because it's way too hot. Thankfully, they always gave me what I asked for (and they still do). I used to watch this show where trees were talking and I wanted to talk to trees too, even if they won't respond at all, except through the wind.
I saw the telescope near the fountain at your home (the same one from Aunt Koucakes and Lee Junki's house). I kinda want to steal it (without you looking, of course). I've always wanted to have one, but it was way too expensive. :-( I like looking at the stars. They're pretty.
I have to say, the fountain I liked the most from those you showed me was the one at the Snow Park. It reminded me of blue pancakes, as weird as that sounds. I've never tasted one (if it exists) but I suddenly want to eat one.
Somehow, I want to visit Miss Li's house next. OuO Especially that vampire coffin.

Chapter 11: Ooh! If your father's office is going to be a laboratory (with all modern technology and underground studies), you HAVE to let me in! Please? *bats eyes*
So, how did it feel to have a dragon pet? Was it cool or was it scary?
We feel the same! I also LOVE fountains to death. If the fountains I see weren't for the public and just for me, I'd jump in it every day, like a swimming pool. I would like to say that when you said if you stared at the lily pads long enough, frogs might pop out. I kept remembering the story, “The Frog Prince.” Aren't you afraid of frogs? Frogs are icky and slimey. Yeck!
You're lucky you have a brother (or two) of your own. I'd like to believe that I was supposed to be twins but then both of us became one and I became a male (in my thoughts only) and female (in my physical appearance). Yeah, but seriously, I wish I had a brother, or a sister, but I like having a brother more. How does having brothers feel, especially with your 4D older (?) brother, Tao?

Your idea's really great! I haven't seen a SIMS story before in AFF so it's good that you're writing about it. I was like you 2 years ago, writing in my notebook. But, unlike you, mine didn't make so much sense (then). It was just a bit random. No one would understand what I was trying to say in the story, even I didn't understand it.

Well, don't worry about it. You don't have to worry about your brother being an A+++ student because everyone has their own unique set of capabilities that they can utilize to their own advantage. I always read that you should never compare yourself to others since you'd feel either lesser or greater than someone else. Again, that's you. You're not an A+++ student like your brother but I bet you're just as good as him in something else, that he might not be good in.

P.S. I'll let you in on a little secret of mine (that I only shared with a few select people): if you look at my username, there are two numbers at the end, 0 and 1, right? That's the year of my birth, 2001. If you subtract 2001, from this year, 2014, you'll get my age. Hehe... Okay, you're probably reading this comment not for Math but for feedback or something but I can't help it. I don't like being straightforward when it comes to my age. >_>
***Don't worry. You'll become better at English if you practice more, or over time (some people I know dislike seeing or hearing English since it makes their heads hurt). I should know since I've been practicing since I was a younger child. Also, read more. About any topic you want. It can be about adventure, news, absolutely anything. But if you find that boring, you can watch more movies or cartoons or something like that.

Just a tip (you don't have to follow it or anything): It would look better if you separated your author's note—the last paragraph you wrote and also the Next up thingy—by a chapter divider. I thought it was part of the story when I first read it. If you don't know how to put that divider on the post... (TBC)
