HEY G!

I am on my way to visit him.

I just finished my badminton practice with my friend Kay.

She's been my friend since grade school.

We're national players for Korea's badminton team.

Of course I asked her to come with me.

We stopped in front of his small dance studio.

He had invested his money and built a small dance studio to teach young children the basics of dancing.

I heard his stern and low voice.

"Discipline!"

"Perseverance!"

"Self Control!"

"That’s all it takes do you all understand?"

"Yes, Maknae hyung!" A chorus of young voices answered.

Kay and I went inside and I leaned on the door.

The children bowed at him and took their leave.

He saw me standing at the door frame.

He flashed his smile...

He walked straight at me…

He’s tall…

A little pale but that's his usual skin color.

He's a little muscular now.

The result of heavy muscle training at the gym, thanks to Leader Oppa.

He can play a little badminton too.

That’s where we first met.

At the court.

Sparks flew on the day we first laid our eyes with each other.

Not long after that we became a couple.

Jungmin Oppa always teased me about him.

Who cares I just loved the man they call Maknae.

He was one of those people who helped me regain my confidence when I was down and almost didn't make it in the national pool.

He's not a pro but because he's an idol and he's been a hard worker, he understood me.

And today on my birthday he asked me to visit him at his dance studio.

I didn't noticed Kay walked inside the other studio and started playing SS501's hit song Love Like This.

Maknae stood in front of me both hands on each side of the wall and imprisoned  me.

I liked the look in his eyes.

It said I love you.

"My Chonsa," Maknae whispered.

Then he lowered his head and capture my lips.

Sweet and loving…

That’s my Maknae.

He’s such a dearie.

I hooked my arms around his neck and kissed him back.

I don’t really care much about my birthday but if I’m to get drowned by his kisses...

I wouldn’t mind if everyday is my birthday.

He lifted his head and rested it on my forehead.

"I love you too, Baby Joon." I said to him.

He hated the endearment but he lets me get away with it.

"Little Chonsa, lets go to my house. Your gift is waiting there," Maknae said.

"I don’t want any gifts just you is enough," I said back at him.

"I know but you’ll get it anyway," he replied back.

With that he went to his locker to change clothes.

I crossed my arms and leaned again.

Inside the studio, Kay can't resist the beat of Love Like This.

She didn't tell anyone that she adored SS501 even before her friend Angelique became Hyung Joon's girlfriend.

Kay closed her eyes and hummed the song. She didn't hear the footsteps and didn't see the shadow of the man leaning on the doorway silently watching her.

Kay did the LOVE sign...

Then she heard someone clapped behind her.

It was Kyujong...

"Err I am sorry if I was a nuisance." Kay apologized.

"Please don't say you're sorry, I like how you did the LOVE sign." Kyujong said.

Kay shyly smiled at Kyujong and thought she was in dreamland.

And Kyujong smiled back...

Angelique crossed her arms and waited for Maknae.

After like 15 minutes he emerged from his locker room wearing casual clothes.

"Lets go Little Chonsa," he said and grabbed my hand.

"H-ey wait! K-ay's still inside." I stuttered.

He continued walking while holding my hand, "Don't worry she's safe. Kyujong hyung's inside too."

Kyujong Oppa? He's here too, well good for Kay. She thought I didn't know of her fondness with SS501 and to Kyu Oppa.

My smile widened...

"Baby Joon what's my gift?" I impatiently asked him.

"You’ll see," he just said.

His house was just a 15 minute walk from the dance studio so we reached it in no time.

He opened the door and led me inside.

"Surprise!"

I looked at the voices and there I saw my badminton team mates and some of my college classmates.

And then the other SS501 members were present too all except Kyujong Oppa.

He managed to get all my team mates together in a short time.

And even in their busiest times, SS501 was here.

I was moved by his thoughtfulness.

Maknae placed his arm around my shoulder and ushered me inside the dining room.

And in there I saw both our parents.

My parents were against our relationship so its a bit awkward to see them here.

I've met Maknae's mother and Kibum many times, they were very warm and kind to me.

Uneasiness swept all over me.

Then Maknae said something that will make this day meaningful to me.

"Little Chonsa, your parents have accepted us."

"W-what?" I stammered.

"You heard me Little Chonsa, this was my birthday gift to you." Maknae leaned over and kissed my forehead.

I blinked twice and let his words sink in.

I looked back at my parents and its true they both stood up.

My mother hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.

"Happy birthday dear," she said.

My father shook Maknae's hand and slapped his back.

"Please take care of my daughter Hyung Joon," my dad said.

"Yes sir, I will." He nervously said to them.

My parents then left us and went inside the living room.

Maknae laced his finger with mine and led me to his bedroom.

As soon as he closed the door I embraced him.

To overwhelmed  with emotions…

He bridged the gap between my parents and I.

I never cry…

Not once…

But this time…

I did.

Maknae looked at my tear soaked face and smiled.

"Tears of joy I hope," he said.

I nodded.

"This was the best birthday ever. Thank you." I managed to whisper between sobs.

"Your welcome My Chonsa, now come and let's start your party."

Ah yes my party…

Thanks to him our future looks bright and full of hopes.

It's going to be a very happy birthday for me and I am going to enjoy every minute of it…
