Jiyeon was still on the shower room for an hour already, still thinking about what he really feels for Myungsoo, she’s not even sure herself about it ‘Do I… Like him?’ she thought before she shook her head repeatedly ‘No no no, maybe I only feel like this because I’m being so dependent on him and he’s the only person I’m with the past week, I should not confuse myself’ she heaved deeply before getting a towel to dry herself and suddenly, the lights inside the bathroom went off. She tried to go walk outside but all she can see is total darkness.

“L—ssi” she stammered as she was trying to touch the objects around to guide her outside with only a towel wrapped around her body, she could barely make a step not only because she could see nothing but more because she’s afraid of dark that’s why whenever she sleeps at night, she would let the lamp shade on until morning.

The reason for Jiyeon to fear dark places because she thinks bad things always happen whenever it’s dark, when she was still 9 years old, they had a camping outside the school, it was at dark night when someone sneaked inside their tent to kidnap her knowing how rich her family is but luckily there are guards roving around the camp site and captured the kidnappers before they could bring Jiyeon inside the van.

It was also during a dark rainy evening, and the lights on the streets are not functioning when the car accident that killed her parents as well as her brother happened. Her fear against darkness became worse and she can’t even sleep or stay still because all of those painful and tragic memories that keep flashing back inside her head whenever all she could see is dark.

She was stuck inside the bathroom near the door with both of hands covering her face while she was sitting on the tiled floor, as the memories of a car hitting a big tree and the heavy rain which drenched the bodies of her parents with blood on their faces keeps sinking inside her head.

Just right after arranging back the plates, all the lights inside the house went off, Myungsoo then lit a candle because the emergency light is still upstairs in his room. He then went to see if Jiyeon’s already done washing but after he knocked on the door to her room he could hear no response.

‘Maybe she’s still in the bathroom…but she should be out by now since it’s dark inside. It’s dark so—she could see nothing and she gets scared so easily. Maybe—‘ Myungsoo kept thinking and was really bothered about what’s going on with Jiyeon inside since she won’t answer when he knocks.

Holding a candle, he rushed inside her room and when he saw no one there he then dashed to the bathroom. Myungsoo doesn’t feel right after running inside a bathroom with a girl still in her towel on but these thoughts were washed away after his sight was met by Jiyeon, sitting on the floor and a bead of tear rolling down her cheek as soon as she raised her head to look at him.

“My—myungssu-ssi” she felt a relief after seeing his face in front on her as Myungsoo bend in front of her to see her face.

“Are you okay?” Myungsoo looked at her trying to keep her at ease with his calm voice as he reached to touch her head with the palm of his hand.

Jiyeon nodded a bit in response before Myungsoo helped her get up and guided her outside the room lighting the way with the candle he was bringing. Jiyeon did not even mind her appearance in front of Myungsoo as long as she feels safe with someone beside her.

“I’ll leave it here, change to something warm” he then carefully placed the candle on the table after guiding Jiyeon near her closet.

As he was about to walk going outside the room Jiyeon grabbed his hand stopping him.
