Kang Seungyoon sat in front of me on the bus. It was a long ride back home from school. He always got on the bus before me, and therefore was always there when I took the bus to school. This meant he would always leave after me.

Today the bus was empty. I had bad cramps and asked to be excused from class so I could go home and rest. I didn’t expect to see him at the bus stop. His shirt was untucked, the top button ed. His hair messy, his tie hanging loose, and his hands in his pockets. He must have felt me staring, so I quickly looked in the distance before our eyes could meet.

I knew he liked me. That was obvious. But I couldn’t accept him. He was BAD. He drank, he smoked, he played around; that type of reputation would drive any girl away. But I also couldn’t deny there was something in his eyes that drew me in. And that’s why I’m scared.

Coming back from my thoughts, I realized I was staring at him again. And he smiled at me, warmly; flirtatiously. Shocked at being caught staring, I blushed and looked away again. The bus arrived at the stop with a screech, and I quickly took the seats behind so I wouldn’t have to feel his eyes on the back of my head. Settling down, I watched him board the bus and look at me while tapping his card, choosing his seat with careful deliberation. He sat right in front of me.
