What's a girl to do when she finds out there's a monster lurking in her closet? Farren can't exactly run to her parents for help, so when she learns that the demon lord Kai has taken up residence in the space where she keeps her hoodies, she confronts him on her own.

It turns out Kai is irresistibly handsome but he is also rude, vain, and mischievous. He also does not believe in love. All of this makes it quite concerning when Farren finds herself falling for him, then tricked into wearing his mysterious ring – the significance of which she doesn't find out until it is stuck to her finger.

Things get further complicated when yet another demon enters the human world with Farren in their sights. This one is just as handsome and charismatic as Kai, and equally fond of trickery, but he has his own deeply-rooted motives, which will lead Farren and Kai into a past filled with secrets and a future where nothing is certain.
