Aejin slammed her locker shut before looking around the hallways. She fixed the things in her bag as she waited for her friends to arrive.

"Hey" a familiar voice called her. Aejin looked up from her bag and was greeted by a lazy smile from Jaeyoon. Aejin smiled back before giving her friend a small nod.

"Hey" Aejin greeted back and slung her backpack on her shoulder, getting ready to walk to class. She looked around, suddenly noticing that her other friend was missing, yet again.

"Where's Yunha?" Aejin asked the other. Jaeyoon sighed before shrugging and joining Aejin in looking around, in hopes of sighting their friend.

"I don't know." Jaeyoon confessed, "She wasn't at her locker when I went there earlier." She said making Aejin roll her eyes, "Do you think she went to see Leo again?" Jaeyoon confirmed - rather than asked - seeing the obvious irritation on her friend's face.

Aejin sighed and shook her head before she started walking towards an exit at the end of the hallway. Jaeyoon followed her, knowing that she and her friend were thinking the exact same thing.

"I don't THINK she went to see Leo. I KNOW she went to see Leo." Aejin said, emphasizing on some words. It was too repetitive. It wasn't only a few times, but a lot of times, that Yunha would go missing. They would always find her at the same place, and that was wherever Leo was.

She didn't get it; What did Yunha see in Leo? They weren't for each other yet Yunha feels so strongly about him. The guy didn't even know she existed, yet she's so in love with him. He hasn't spared a single glance at her yet all she could see was him.

They walked out of the exit and was welcomed by the blazing sun. Both of them hissed, and used their hands to cover their eyes, totally unprepared for the sun. They continued walking towards the school's stadium and headed towards the back, where the soccer field was at. And just like they expected, Yunha was sitting at a bleacher, the same one they saw her at yesterday, and the days before that.

"Yunha!" Jaeyoon called as they walk towards the bleachers. The said girl looked back and waved at her friends before returning her attention to the soccer field. Jaeyoon and Aejin joined their friend at the bleachers and sat next to her. Aejin looked at the soccer field and scoffed seeing Leo. She glanced at Yunha and could only shake her head seeing her with a dreamy look on her face.

Aejin wanted to get out of there. She wanted to leave and just go to class - not that she loved going to class either - but something was stopping her, or rather a someone. She looked around the sweaty soccer players running around the field, looking for a certain someone.

"Kai, look out!" One of the players yelled. A soccer ball quickly flew towards a dark skinned man who, thankfully, ducked in time and saved himself from spending the whole school day with a soccer ball mark on his face.

Aejin's gaze locked on the guy called Kai, who arrogantly smirked at his friends as if dodging a soccer ball made him win the whole soccer tournament. There was something about him that drew Aejin's attention. Aejin didn't know what, but she knew there was something.

Aejin groaned and slouched on her seat. This is what she hated about her gift. She would know that there would be 'something' about that certain person, but didn't know what that was. She couldn't help but feel irritated about not knowing what was up. As if 'something' was going to help her. Obviousy not.

"Are you okay?" Jaeyoon asked in concern, seeing her friend had a troubled face. Aejin looked at Jaeyoon before giving her a small smile and nodding, telling her she was fine.

Aejin returned her attention to the soccer field and almost jumped in her seat when she met Kai's gaze. He kept his eyes on her and Aejin did the same, finding no reason to look away. She tried to read him; Who he was, and why he had caught her attention. Suddenly, the said boy smirked and winked at her before going back to his teammates. Aejin couldn't help but scoff and roll her eyes at the boy's confidence. He probably thought she was intrested in him. But she wasn't, at all.

She felt quite normal, so she was sure he wasn't her mate. Aejin's father told her that once you met your mate, you would feel all giddy and happy inside. Your world would suddenly stop and you would immediately know that it's him. Although it was far different from how he met her mother - or if you could consider getting hit by your own arrow as similar - It was how the new generations met their mate.

After a few more minutes, the soccer practice ended and they went back to their building, which couldn't make Aejin more happier. Her head was already aching from thinking about the guy, Kai. His occasional winks and glances didn't help her either.

The three of them walked together, side by side, in silence, until Jaeyoon decided to break it.

"Why were you there so early in the morning? What if you got late for class?" Jaeyoon scolded Yunha.

"Because of Leo, of course." Aejin mumbled, and in an instant, Yunha hung her head, knowing that she was going to get scolded by her friends. Although Jaeyoon was over reacting - since it was still early for class - they couldn't take Yunha suddenly disappearing from their sight.

"Why do you like him anyways?" Aejin suddenly asked, unable to understand her friend, "He isn't even that great." She pointed out. Yunha was about to talk when Jaeyoon spoke, surprising Aejin and Yunha.

"Why are you even so against her liking him anyway?" Jaeyoon snapped, "Yunha's taste is different from yours. What you think is attractive may not be attractive for her and vice versa. It's not like Leo is such a bad man, anyway." Jaeyoon defended. Maybe it was the constant complains or the continuous irritation Aejin had when it was about Yunha and Leo, but Jaeyoon found it quite suspicious and irritating how Aejin was so against Yunha liking Leo. Jaeyoon wasn't too against Yunha liking Leo. She just didn't like her continously drooling over him and disappearing just to watch him.

“They’re not for each other.” Aejin said simply.

“And who are you to say that?” Jaeyoon asked with an eyebrow raised. Aejin stopped in her tracks and glanced at her friends who also stopped walking. They were in the middle of the hallway, just staring at each other, while other students walked to their classrooms.

“Who are you to say they’re not for each other?” Jaeyoon repeated, “You’re not cupid to say that.” She pushed. At the word ‘cupid’, Aejin’s head shot up and she quickly shook her head.

“No, I-I’m not cupid.” Aejin stuttered. She looked back and forth at her friends who just looked at her curiously. Aejin racked her brain for an excuse or anything she could reason out to them. Any reason, just so her friends won’t find out about her, and to make them believe her that Leo and Yunha are really not for each other. Aejin felt panicked and spat out unconvincing words instead.

“I just feel it.” She lamely said. Aejin looked down, ashamed at her poor come back.

“Whatever.” Jaeyoon shook her head and started walking to her classroom, leaving Aejin and Yunha behind.

Aejin stayed at her place, thinking about what her friend had said. Was she acting suspicious? Was it obvious that she was cupid’s daughter? Tons of questions clouded her mind but disappeared when Yunha nudged her. Aejin looked up and was welcomed by Yunha’s smile.

“Let’s go to class.” Yunha invited. Aejin looked around and saw that the hallway was almost empty, meaning classes were about to start. Aejin sighed but quickly nodded, agreeing to her friend. Yunha and Aejin quickly walked ahead and entered a different classroom from Jaeyoon.

The three of them were friends but they weren’t in the same class. They used to be classmates until two years ago when Jaeyoon was transferred to the star section. Jaeyoon was quite smart compared to her other batchmates while Yunha and Aejin were just average. Aejin’s frequent absences weren't helping her grades either.

Aejin went inside the classroom and her eyes quickly landed on a certain couple. The girl had a long light brown hair while the guy had a lightly tan skin. The girl was sitting on the boy’s lap and they were talking to each other with a sweet vibe. Aejin remembered them as N and Ellin. They were on of the sweetest couples in her class, and she had to break them up.

I dont get why Hongbin keep on asking Aejin to be careful of Jaeyoon just because she a witch. I really hope Baekyeon will somehow resolve their issues. More fluff? Yay.
I wonder will Chanyeol ever discover that Aejin is actually a cupid in the future chapters as the story progress.
