Becoming

Description

Sam was always well liked. He was athletic, smart, good looking, musically inclined, and (unsurprisingly) very popular at his school in England. Despite his success in life and being accepted to one of the best colleges in his mother's home country of South Korea, he felt utterly empty. Everything he did felt meaningless, and his outlook on life became suddenly dismal.

That is, until he met someone. And that someone led him to another someone who would begin to change him.

Would he finally find a sense of being? And how would someone number one feel about someone number two changing Sam?

Foreword

"It was all so meaningless...until I met you."

Sam crumpled up the paper, tossing it into the waste basket in an irritated manner. He removed another piece of paper from the notebook.

"Lucy, you have no idea how much you've changed me. Dare I say, you even saved me."

He grumbled and discarded the current note he was penning.

"A couple more attempts," he begged of himself. He scoffed. "God, Sam. Not losing your mind at all."

"Thank you for all you've done. You're the most important thing to me."

"Damn it!" he yelled, ripping the paper out yet again, and hurling it away.

"Lucy, you are the most important thing to me."

      He destroyed multiple drafts.

"I'm in love with you, my dearest friend. You likely won't requite this feeling."

"I love you, Lucy. Please be mine."

This time, he did not destroy the notes. He saved both of them. Two notes, meant for two different people.

Sam let out a sigh, flopping onto his bed. He ran his hands through his hair.

"Well, Mr. Carter. How do you intend to get yourself out of this one?"
