No parents, no siblings, no home - you would lose hope and eventually give up in life. That's what Jongin feels; being alone with nowhere to run and nobody by your side is a hard life and just as he is about to jump off a bridge, Kyungsoo comes and saves him. He says that being hopeless is the hope you can get when you're alone.

Kyungsoo has all that he needs in life except for love. He is not an orphan, he has a family and he has a home - what more could he ask for? Showered with blessings but with no one to share with is just sad and he is about to jump off a bridge when he sees Jongin - someone who is probably hopeless in the same way.
