I Regret Leaving You In The First Place

 

Weeks before moving from Seoul to Gyeonggi Province, Hye Soo's family's retaurant was on the verge of bankruptcy the reason being a company was suing them for invasion of property which in fact: was a false accusation. Without the money, they were forced to move to Gyeonggi where Hye Soo's grandmother lived. There, they reopened their restaurant and lived above it. Them moving was probably the wisest decision the family could have done considering there was a major improvement day by day. Not long after that, her parents had settled their debts from their friends and loans from the bank; her sister could now afford a phone; her brother could now go to the gym again to work out; her younger twins could now buy food from the cafeteria.

 

Everybody seemed to be happy and satisfied with what they ended up in Gyeonngi; with the exception of one- Hye Soo. She enjoyed having to work overtime when there were a lot of customers at the restaurant that she could skip school and the fact her family was slipping away from their financial problems in a great speed of time but she wasn't quite sure about school. Since she was the new city girl who had just moved with horrible looks and had no knowlegde about the place, she was treated rather differently. The only thing that kept her happy from all the bullying was a; her family, b; junk food and c; algebra.

 

But shall we not underestimate Hye Soo? She could be a complete geek who was mesmerised with science and mathematics but if people could look pass that, they would have fallen in love with a personality that was filled with trustworthy, bravery and passion. One night, she witnessed an anonymous person's 'almost' death in a car accident since she had pushed him out of the way to put herself in his deathline instead. Due to the accident, she was slowly diagnosed with visual impairment while being in a coma. She had a lot of hardships with this diagnosis but she didn't mind since there was someone to help her; Chanyeol. He used to be one of the many people who bullied her but she didn't understand anything at all when he started being nice to her. Sure, she was visually impaired and made everyone a little bit nicer to her but why was he overdoing it.

 

They eventually became good friends where Chanyeol slowly grew feelings for her, looking pass her horrible looks but to actually judge her with her personality. He was the first person who she trusted fully without having to know how his face looked like; that she could only visualize it by feeling his face with her hands. Unfortunately, her had other plans of rather being stuck with her, he decided to become an SM trainee which forced him to move to Seoul, leaving her. She didn't know anything about this at all and grew depressed and anxious with his absence. She was then offered surgery to gain her vision back which she did and that was when the students started to become more abusive and harsher towards her since she had realized that she had became fatter and bigger than she was due to the lack of exercise. With this pain, she grew to become a stronger person; changed her looks by losing a lot of weight and took care of her skin, worked hard to improve her studies and finally, started to be liked by the society.

 

What if one day, she went to Seoul to study in order to become a cardio thoracic surgeon- at a school near the SM entertainment headquarters? What if she met Chanyeol but didn't even realize it was actually her best friend? What if she accidentally fell in love with Kyungsoo instead when Chanyeol was still in love with her? But what's more worst is.. what if she found out the fact that Chanyeol was the reason why she was visually impaired in the first place?

Yes, that type of girl.

She keeps most of the unnecessary words to herself at school,

helps her family at the restaurant,

eventually catches the teachers' attention

mostly bullied by her peers.

Chanyeol was the type of person who wouldn't shut up in class,

smiles when everybody isn't,

plays sports and music,

makes girls swoon around him

&

is afraid of falling in love again considering that he had just broken up with his girlfrine and got badly hurt.
