Alarm bells began ringing and letting out their shrill sounds promptly on their designated times, signaling the start of yet another morning. Unfortunately, ‘mornings’ were subjects of complete horror for most students, as it only meant one thing: school. Some struggled to get the last couple of minutes of sleep as they possibly could while others brooded over their undone homework. A few fretted over their notes, trying to cram the last bit of information into their heads before the scheduled exams.   But for Park Chanyeol, none of those reasons were why he found that particular morning utterly terrifying and fearful. Rather, it was the weather. As if the sky was an open hole, thick streams of water poured down like there was no tomorrow. Everything was grey—the clouds, the atmosphere, the buildings, the streets—despite it being almost nine in the morning.   Rain wasn’t exactly the problem. It was mostly the effects of rain that made Chanyeol's life much, much more difficult than had to be. Pavements got wet. Dirt turned to mud. Air became humid. And all of that equaled nothing but uncleanliness. The environment, things, and most importantly, people, became unorganized, messy, and germ-prone. Those were things that Chanyeol simply could not stand.   "Park Chanyeol! I'm going to be late at this rate! Can you hurry up a bit?"   His mother's call from the living room did little to ease his situation, but being the filial son that he was, he didn’t let it show. After shoving three extra bottles of hand sanitizer in his backpack, he slung the bag over his shoulders and scurried out his room. "I'm sorry, mother. I just had to grab a couple of things."   Waiting for him in front of the front door, she groaned as she dug for her car keys in her purse, not forgetting to shoot him a sharp glare. "I told you I had a reunion meeting to go to today! I'm going to be late by the time I arrive there after dropping you off at school!"   Chanyeol didn’t mention the fact that she actually hadn't told him of her plans. Instead, he wore an apologetic smile on his face in an effort to lessen her hysteria.   ---   Only after his mother's car had driven out of his sight did Chanyeol realize that he didn’t have a ride back home in the evening, much less an umbrella. He blankly stared at the rainy horizon as he squeezed some disinfectant on the palm of his hand. He stood, pondering on his options for later when suddenly, his freshly cleansed hand was made dirty again by a slap of someone else's hand.   "Hi, shorty!" Jieun, Chanyeol's friend ever since their toddler years, towered triumphantly over him, a matching triumphant grin on her face. "Looks like you don't have an umbrella! I knew it. I got this feeling in my guts this morning that most likely, Park Chanyeol would show up at school without one. I think I might have the ability to see the future. It's mad scary how accurate I can be sometimes, and—"   Half warily and
