“Teacher!” a voice from behind Irene calls out. She turns around to see a student dressed in the school’s judo uniform. At Irene’s gesture, the student continues, “Y-you may not know me but I’m Park Sooyoung from the Judo team and I like you!” the student declares, bowing abruptly. The student lifts up her head and stares at Irene, her eyebrows furrowed in determination. “So please go out with me!” The student bows again and Irene steels herself for the heartbreak that’s about to come.

    “No,” the teacher says sternly, distantly observing as the student’s resolute expression melt away, “what’s wrong with you? I would never say yes and even if I did, do you seriously think this would end well?” Irene’s heart ached  little (a lot, actually) watching as Sooyoung’s spirits dampen and her shoulders slump lower and lower with each word because even though she is definitely used to being confessed to, it was usually through the form of either anonymous love letters or sleazy flirting and no one had actually done so to her so blatantly (or sincerely) before. So she decides to leave, to flee from the scene like she always has, before she could cause anymore damage.

    “Teacher!” Irene freezes at Sooyoung’s voice, determination seeping back into her timbre. She turns around once again to see the student- eyes watering but no tears actually falling- declare, “I’ll definitely- definitely! Make you fall for me.”

A/N: I was going to work on the coffeeshop AU but then I got sidetracked by this mess. My attempt at a slightly more serious storyline featuring tsundere! Irene and the charmingly cheeky Joy. I am so sorry.
