(*^◇^)_旦 Hello there! Welcome to the beginning of my new EXO one-shot series! This idea came from a lovely conversation between my best friend and me, after we had gone to a cafe together! Prepare for some fluff and innuendos here and there~

On a quiet street was a single cafe by the name of XOXO. It was well-known for cheap meals--its quality give or take, depending on how the bratty chef was feeling--making it the ideal spot for students of the nearby university. Open for 12 hours--longer before and during finals week, from the beginning of the afternoon to the twilight of the evening, the interior of the quaint but modern-style eatery was anything but.

Staffed by 12 men, you worked alongside them as the sole waitress there. They got on your nerves from time to time and drove you mad on some days. Yet you wouldn't want to work anywhere else. They charmed you in their own ways, whether it be a smooth baritone voice, or a cutesy wink.

Yawning, you made your way to the cafe. You had been away during the summer for a family trip. Rested and with a new perspective on life and its beauty, your heart felt happy to be free from nostalgia. Not a day went by that thoughts about your co-workers didn't fail to reach your mind. You missed them and were ready to be surrounded by their handsome madness.

"Who...the hell thought this was a good idea?!"

For how laidback he tended to be, it was rare to hear Yifan so openly agitated. Yet as you approached the cafe's front, you were met with his towering height--along with Joonmyun's shorter one, his back turned towards you. Your eyes trailed over to what he was looking at and you felt a piece of your soul crumble.

Resting on the shoulders of an eager Chanyeol and a blank-faced Sehun respectively, Kyungsoo and Minseok hung a banner over the cafe's entrance. You weren't surprised to see the shortest member of the staff keep the sign in place by stabbing the roof with a kitchen knife. However, you were aghast at the message printed onto the white cloth.

XOXO: Our boba's so good, you'll howl like a wolf! Awoo~!

"I just...hope that this doesn't show up on my card's history," Joonmyun groaned, his face buried in his hands.

Suddenly, the door opened and you shouldn't have expected smoke to trail after, yet it did. Tao was first to come out, cursing as his blue Armani shirt had a notable grease stain on the hem. Yixing followed, his face calm as he carried a dazed Luhan. Jongdae had a fire extinguisher as he exited, shouting that everything was the doe-eyed waiter's fault while Baekhyun looked eerily pleased as he strolled through the door. Jongin was last to leave. He was experiencing a fit of coughs, rubbing his eyes--an action that was normally reserved for his sleepy self.

While Joonmyun proceeded to freak out and worry over everyone however, he looked at the sign and his eyes widened, just as a gleeful smile formed on his face.

"It looks better than I expected!"

Yifan--clearly prioritizing what was important in this situation--glared at him as he snapped, "It looks stupid!"

"Because "Our boba is hella swaggy" is better right, hyung?"

"Shut up, Jongdae."

"I can still use this fire extinguisher on you, you know."

You wished that you could say that this was a moment out of the ordinary, but unfortunately, this was your daily routine. Sighing, you grabbed your phone and called up the fire department, just as you heard Chanyeol's booming voice excitedly exclaim, "Oh! You're finally back, jagiya!", which was followed by a blunt "Where's my souvenir" from Sehun.

You wondered if Joonmyun would be willing to extend your vacation days.
