Black light. That's what they call that famous alley. During the day it's nothing but a beaten up street, shadowed by the closely looming buildings, as if the walls would cave in on a person walking through. An ominous alley. 

but if only you could see it at night.

Neon lights crawl up the concrete walls, snaking along the wires and waving their tongues at the crowds below. A forest of vivid color flashing and twinkling all blurred out of view like a dream. The people in the alley aren't individuals, but an ocean. The tops of their bobbing heads moving between the shadows and the burning lights, the hum of drunken slurs and seductive voices. Danger isn't unordinary in Black Light, but there is one name you must never say. 

The Drifters.

They watch from the shadows where the dreamy glow of neon doesn't reach. They laugh with their white teeth showing like wild dogs as they swallow another mouthful of smoke. Toxins drip from their lips and rise, turning pink in the flashing lights. The glint of the knives in their hands and pockets is unmistakable. Danger follows where they go. 

Seulbi was raised in the shadow of Black Light. Growing older under the watchful eyes of hookers and drunks. Little did she know she caught the eye of more than just them.
