1. Wake up at 4am and watch the sunrise together.

2. Visit a haunted house.

3. Playground date in the old neighborhood

4. Camping over the weekend.

5. Ride the subway/train to the end of the line.

Your characters can get to know each other through conversation and reactions on dates. Is someone an early bird? Scardey cat? Do they have good childhood memories? Maybe they start out braving the outdoors, but end up getting a cabin when the crickets come out. Does ending up in an unknown city strengthen their trust in each other?  Go wild and get creative!
