OST: Mamamoo & Geeks - Hi Hi Ha He Ho
Summer 2014 / 3:30 PM
Gayeon wiped off the bead of sweats forming on her forehead with the back of her hand as she tried to match her
small steps with his. Now she regretted her choice. She was the one who suggested going to the game arcade by
walking as she thought it would be somehow romantic strolling down the street together with her boyfriend. Well,
maybe not. She just did want to hear Chanyeol criticizing her driving skills. Chanyeol acted like he owned special
licences to move a big crane but the truth was, he did not have any driving licence.
“Channie!” she spelled his nickname as she tightened her loose shoelace. Chanyeol halted briefly his feet from making
any step further and turned around. His sight fell on his girlfriend who was picking her snapback that fell on the
ground. He stared at her and thought she must be putting so much effort on her outfits today. Regardless what she
wore, in his eyes, Gayeon was still cute.
“I know you’re excited to play games but don’t walk too fast!” Gayeon nagged.
“Tch..the perk of the having short legs..” he playfully as he fixed her hair and put back the snapback on her
head.
“Cute!” he simply added. Gayeon withdrew her hand from hitting his arm as she heard his compliment. Her small pink lips curved upward.
“How I wish my hands don’t sweat too much..But what can I do?” he said in flat tone as he stood beside her and
grabbed her shoulder all of the sudden. “This will do right, Yeonnie?” he asked, wearing a genuine smile on his face.
Gayeon looked up at his tall boyfriend and nodded her head.
‘Normal Channie. I like it’ her heart whispered.
She laughed since Chanyeol kept on telling her stupid jokes as they made their way to the arcade. He was such in a
good mood since she told him he could play games non-stop today. However, her ease feeling was not stay that long.
Her laugh died right after she felt rain droplets fell on her small nose. She looked up to the sky.
“We should’ve go there by car!!” Chanyeol exclaimed. His forehead wrinkled, annoyed. His smiling face now has been
replaced with a deadly cold expression. He looked so confused for a second. Then, he distanced himself from Gayeon
and left her behind.
“But..you agreed!” she tailed him.
“Walk faster! I don’t want you to fall sick!” his voice was still in angry tone but Gayeon did not mind as now he held
her hand. His grip was tight. She knew he hated holding hands but he still did it anyway.
‘Well, Grumpy Channie is cute too’ she inwardly smiled.
Yes! That was Song Gayeon’s boyfriend, Park Chanyeol. His mood could change 360 degree depended on the
weather. He transformed from a bright person to a cold person in a split second. Weird? Well, Gayeon was scared too
at first.
Spring 2013 / 5:20 PM
Nervous and excited for her first date with Chanyeol, both feelings mixed inside her. They were at Han River, having a
picnic. Gayeon sit comfortably, hugging her knees while Chanyeol was lying down on the mat, humming a song that
she could not recognize. There was also a guitar beside him. She was enjoying the nice evening view there to calm
herself down.
“I have a song for our first date. Do you want to hear it?” She tilted her head a little after she heard Chanyeol asked her.
“Y..Yes..sure..sure” she replied with a smile, trying to hide her nervousness.
“You look so tense. You’re not happy with me?” he got up, staring at her.
“Eh? Don’t get me wrong! I’m happy. It is my first time going out with you so I’m kinda...”
“Relax, okay?” he smiled while tapping her shoulder gently.
How could Gayeon relax? Everything happened too fast. And it was out of her expectation. Gayeon and Chanyeol
always bumped into each other at the subway station on their way home from work. They haven’t talked for once
until...
“I like you. Do you want to be my boyfriend?” Gayeon mustered all the courage left within her to confess her feeling
despite being shy to start it first. She did not care if he rejected her, all she knew he must know what she felt. She was
so ready to hear any negative answer from him. But she didn’t expect him to say...
“Sure. I like you too”
She made another mental note to throw away her doubt and be grateful instead for her new relationship. Her long time
crush loved her too. Wasn’t that great? ‘Tch..There’s nothing I should be worry about, right?’ she let out a relief sigh.
“Song Gayeon” Chanyeol chimed in.
“What?”
“I know what’s on your mind right now. Hmm.. I fell in love with you since the first day I saw you in the train. You
were too absorbed in your reading and you didn’t notice me looking at you. I’m not good with words but I want you to
believe me that I’m serious with our relationship.” He smiled sheepishly. Both of his ears reddened. That wasn’t his
style to talk about his feeling in deep but he had no choice. Gayeon was his first love and he had to make sure he
won’t lose her.
Gayeon replied him with a genuine smile. “So, where’s the song? Sing it for me. With your guitar!” she laughed as she
handed him his precious guitar.
“But there’s one thing I need to...”
“Oh..It’s raining!” Gayeon cut him off. She got up quickly to pack their things. Chanyeol was still in sitting position.
He looked down and buried his face with his left palm and ruffled his hair with his right hand.
“Chanyeol! Get up! We need to find a shelter. Let’s go!”
“What do you want? Who are you? Annoying!!” Chanyeol raised his voice. He now stood up, facing the unknown girl in front of him.
“Eh? I’m Gayeon? Who else?” she raised her eyebrows at his ridiculous question.
“Gayeon? Which Gayeon? I don’t know you!” he yelled.
“Where are you going? Did I do something wrong? Chanyeol!” she grabbed his wrist to stop him from leaving her.
“Let go of my hand, woman! I dont’ know you, understand? GO AWAY!!” he pushed her hand harshly. In no
minute, he picked up his guitar and walked off. She startled as she watched him making his way to somewhere she did
not know. The downpour started to fall heavier than before.
“What the hell just happ
