The Funniest Man In Town
Description
Behind a face painted with thick layers of comedy lies the bare soul of a man with a hole in his chest.
Laughter is not equivalent to joy and - of all people - Mr Grimaldi was the one to teach me that.
"Want to hear a funny story?
I went to the doctor once. Told him I was feeling... depressed. You know what he said to me?
'You should go see Grimaldi's show! Funniest man in London. Bet that'll cheer you up!'
I tried telling him that, well... I was actually Grimaldi.
Guess what he did? He started laughing at me."

Foreword
Hi guys!
Ever noticed how most people hate clowns, when they're actually supposed to cheer us up? It's a phenomenon that piqued my interest.
I started reading about Joseph Grimaldi (1778 - 1837), an Englishman that basically set the standard for the modern Western image of clowns. Painting faces white, wearing weird puffy clothing... yeah he was the one who came up with that. He became very famous, but in reality he was a very troubled man - he was depressed, lost his first wife during childbirth, had an alcoholic clown son who drank himself to death by age 31 and was constantly pained and prematurely disabled by his violent slapstick comedy. He used to joke about it though, saying "I am Grim All Day, but I'll make you laugh at night!"
Anyway, if you're interested in the topic, I'd recommend you to read this article. It's not perfect, but it gives some insight on the whole irony around clowns.
That being said, I hope you all enjoy my scenario~ I loosely based Yeol's character on the original Grimaldi, but you'll figure that out as you go along. ^^
