Sunggyu was in the middle of eating pasta and watching his favorite TV show when he heard the lock of the front door click. He stopped in mid-motion, the noodles still hanging in the air. The door swung open and he saw Woohyun entering the apartment. His confusion turned into a frown. "Woohyun? What are you doing home this early? Didn't your shift start four hours ago?"

His boyfriend didn't react to the question. Sunggyu's frown deepened as he watched Woohyun move around. The younger man closed the door and took off his shoes and coat, before shuffling towards Sunggyu with his head hung low.

"Woohyun-ah?" Sunggyu called out his name again. The only reaction was a sigh. He put down the chopsticks and bowl, standing up to step in Woohyun's path. "Did something happen at work?"

Sunggyu had seen him like this before. He could read the signs. Woohyun never came home early from his shifts, but when he did, something bad had happened at the hospital. The younger man was quite sensitive, so Sunggyu was always worried about him, but Woohyun refused to find another job. He loved helping people.

He grabbed Woohyun's arms. "Hey...talk to me."

His boyfriend leaned forward and fell against his chest. Sunggyu wrapped his arms around the younger. He rubbed Woohyun's back in circles and patiently waited for him to speak up.

"Can we do the usual?" Woohyun muttered after a moment, face still buried in Sunggyu's sweater.

Sunggyu kissed the crown of his head. "Sure."
