It had only been a month since Natsu and Lucy had been dating….”The woods were desolate and cold even in the summer, the dark forest could barely be lit by the moonlight through the canopy of the trees. Lucy stood at the edge of the forest as a soft night breeze past her. As she gazed up at the stars she began to remember memories of when she was a child, how her mother used to always read to her before she went to bed, then she remembered the one memory of her father that she could never get out of her head. Her birthday, when he told her to get out of his office and yelled at her. “Oh stop it, Lucy your only going to make it worse.” she said to herself. She heard a twig snap behind her, “Who is there?” she turned around and started backing away from the forest. Lucy saw a figure immuring from the forest she squinted to try to see who it was. Lucy put her hand on her keys incase she needed to fight whoever this person was. Only the moonlight reelected off of the figure. All of a sudden something that flew charged at her. “Aye Sir!!!” Happy knocked her over and laughed. “Happy, what are you doing here?” Lucy looked up and the figure that she had seen in the forest was Natsu. “Thank goodness, Natsu you scared me” she took a deep breathe and exhaled. “Hey Lucy.” Natsu smiles brightly looking down at Lucy. Natsu walks over to Lucy and helped her stand up. Lucy says, “Thanks Natsu, it’s freezing out here” Lucy shivered. Natsu puts his arms around her, warming her up, and suddenly kisses her on the forehead and her hair soothingly. “Want me to get you home Lucy? It’s late and I don’t want you catching a cold. We have a big day tomorrow.”Natsu blushes slightly. “What is happening tomorrow Natsu? Lucy looked confused. Natsu said, “The two of us are going on an S-class mission tomorrow.” Natsu smirked. “Natsu! How can we do that?” she exclaimed. “Oh I have my ways” Natsu looked in Happy’s direction. Lucy looked back and back and forth between Natsu and Happy. “I don’t have a good feeling about this” she said. “Don’t worry about this Lucy Happy and I have this in control!” “That is what I am worried about” Lucy said. 

    “Lucy lets get you home, you look tired” he put his hand in Lucy’s and walked her back to her house. He saw that she was getting tired of walking and he scooped her up in his arms and carried her back to her house. On the way back to her house she rested her head on his shoulder. After Natsu  took her into her room he laid her on her bed gently and kissed her on her lips. “Goodnight Lucy, I will always protect you” Natsu said with sincerity. Lucy heard him but didn’t respond she just smiled her to herself. Natsu laid the blanket over her and smiled down at her amazed at how lucky he was to have Lucy. 

    Natsu looked over at happy and already saw him asleep on a pillow on the floor, he laughed to himself. All of a sudden he felt a rush of dizziness come to him and he fell onto the floor and everything went black. Lucy sat up in bed when she heard the heavy thump on the floor and saw Natsu sprawled on the floor. Lucy jumped out of bed and rolled him onto his back. “Natsu? Can you hear me?” she shook him a little. “Natsu…. wake up? Please, I can’t lose you.” Lucy puts her head on his chest as tears start to fall down her cheeks onto Natsu’s chest. “N-no, I have already lost to many people in my life. I…I love you Natsu” Lucy wraps her arms around him tightly holding on to Natsu as if she would never let go. Lucy feels Natsu stir a little and Lucy sits up and looks at him putting a hand on his face. “Natsu?” she felt rejoiced that Natsu was ok. Natsu slowly opened his eyes and looked at Lucy. “Don’t worry you will never lose me.” Natsu sat up and put his arms around Lucy. Lucy said, “If I lost you my world would be completely different. Natsu you were the one who brought me to Fairy Tail, I owe everything to you.” She looks into his eyes softly smiling, Natsu smiled back at her. 

    The window to her bedroom suddenly burst open and a gush of wind blew in and Lucy and Natsu were threw back and ended up in the bathroom. The door closed on them and the door locked loudly. Natsu ran at the door and slammed his body into it trying to open it. “Let us out of here dammit” Natsu yelled. He let out a angry growl wanting nothing more than to beat up whoever threw them in there. “Natsu calm down, freaking out and using force never works” Lucy stood up and walked over to him and softly put her hand on his shoulder. Fire began to consume Natsu and wrapped around his entire body and he turned around and flew Lucy across the bathroom and she landed in the bathtub. “Don’t talk to me I need to get us out of here” Natsu yelled at Lucy. Lucy looked shocked at Natsu and said in a scared voice“Natsu this isn't like you.”
