takes place after the epilogue, the jalgeum quartet's ages range from 26-28.
male oc: Yang Jinmyung, son of a wealthy merchant, of half noble blood, aged 18 - calculating, scheming yet playful and rather flirty, an interesting individual who seemingly takes after his sahyung, gu yongha (nickname - mari, which means mountaintop, and symbolizes his success in all his endeavors: though he has a nasty habit of pulling on his influential family ties to his favour.)
female oc: Eun Yeonwoo - her name has the meaning of intermittent drizzles of rain, feminine and graceful - however, this contrasts greatly with her character. 17 years in age, she is feisty and skilled in both archery and martial arts. This, coupled with her fiery temperament, renders her rather unapproachable, but jinmyung is one of her greatest friends (or enemies). Sassy and confident in the fact that women can outdo men, she is the second female student to infiltrate sungkyunkwan after kim yoonhee, and shows promising potential in essay writing, though professor lee sunjoon has declined to comment on her grammar techniques. (male name: yeonchil, nickname: chaemul - a play on kim yoonhee's nickname daemul, as the two are the most prominent female scholars of sungkyunkwan - chae: a feminine name meaning colour, hue; I'll leave it to you to decide if it is mocking in nature :D)
Foreword
"How are you tired of having arguments with me? Haven't you heard? Professor Kim Yoonshik and Professor Lee Sunjoon used to quarrel everyday, even over the most trivial matters, when they were scholars of Sungkyunkwan." He quirked an eyebrow at the feisty female student, gesturing at Lee Sunjoon, who was busy gathering an inkstone and preparing a brush for the upcoming lesson.
"Shut the up," she tsked, "you're like a coconut, all water and no brains."
"They're in love." He sighed, hitting her head with his fan.
"So?" She glared at him, swatting the object away with a twist of her wrist.
"Ah. That will be for you to find out the hidden message in my words, my Chaemul," he grinned.
Maybe, maybe one day, she'll get it.
