Flashback:

I could feel his bitter smile.

“Do you really want this?”

I just silently lowered my head.

Then he tilted my head up and slowly kissed my forehead.

“You promise you won’t leave me?”

He paused for a long time…He was hesitant…He didn’t trust my love!

Then he hesitantly said: “Yo-you promise that it all won’t be just for longing or lust?”

He told this in a low tone…He didn’t want to believe…

I was taken aback. “Ye-Yeah…I love you.”

It was obvious that he wasn’t convinced.

He smiled and slowly walked out of the room…

I was snapped out of my thoughts with the sound of my phone ringing.

“Hello?”

A warm voice with a little bit stress rang in my ear. It was Luhan, Sehun’s friend.

“Hi. Ummm…Are you okay?”

“Yeah, thanks.”

Then silence dropped between us.

I cleared my throat and said: “Do you have any news from Sehun? It’s been 2 months since I last saw him.”

“No! I actually wanted to ask you about him…”

With a sound of someone calling him, he stopped what he was saying and said: “Sorry! I have to go…*I’m coming*”

Then there was the beeping sound of phone that was ringing in my ear.

I felt insecure…I wanted him to embrace me in this cold weather and shower me with all of his love!

I needed him…his warm hands…his sweet kisses…He had accepted me the way I was…Why me???

I hold my head with both of my hands and cried again like a crazy person.

I couldn’t even look in the eyes of the person that I would give my life for!!! Just thinking about his absence was driving me crazy.

I jumped with the sound of the doorbell. Aahhh…I’ve memorized that place…he helped me himself…

I quickly opened the door.

It was my neighbor who lived downstairs. She was a nice woman. I liked her.

“Sweetie, a young man came and said that you should go to the hospital tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow?? Hospital?? Did something happen?? B-but tomorrow night is Christmas…”

“Yeah…He said his name…”

She tapped her chin with her finger and thought for a while.

“His name…Lu…Luhan…yeah, his name was “Luhan”. He said he will come to take you.”

My heart started beating very fast and violently…it was himself…but why didn’t he come in?!

I was drown in my thoughts that I didn’t notice Mrs. Jung has already left.

I closed the door and then sat on the couch and started thinking about the event that was going to happen!

The next morning, Luhan and I went to the hospital. I could feel people’s happiness…even the Christmas song that kids were singing…The sound of people’s laughter gave me a good feeling.

But how about me? When would I be able to be like others? Is that even possible?

By the way…He always used to congratulate me for Christmas with the best gifts, but tonight is Christmas and he hasn’t even called me yet…
