Filled with...
An August to Cherryish
If yesterday, a spilled history, Tomorrow, will it be filled with merry?
"I object!!!"
Should I scream that dramatically? But wouldn't the family members and guests throw rocks at me for ruining a wedding? They'd then start gossipping that I was just being too desperate to resort to this, and chided me for not behaving properly when I'm already this old. No, I couldn't bear that much humiliation.
But then again, it's not like I'd ever meet them again. I don't even know anyone there...I hope. And getting back my job is more important.
Ahh, I don't know.
"Look at that woman, how could she wear white to a wedding, and look at the shirt and pants."
"Shut up and just take care of your dress. She could be a waitress or worker."
Did those two people just talked about me? Why were they dressed up like they'd be going to some opera or party? It's just a wedding.
Wait...I already reached my destination. Suddenly I wasn't sure anymore of whether I should go in or not, aish, why did I wore white shirt, of all colours today? Even though I doubt this shirt could steal attention from the bride, but still...it's disrespectful. Everyone knows that. Why did I keep walking, and even now, still? Should I turn back now? Would it be too late?
"Can I see your invitation card, Madam?"
"Uhh...here." I passed the card to the reception entrance, cursing myself for going through with it. The man suddenly gave me a suspicious look.
"Are you a friend of the bride or the groom?"
"I...uhm...the bride." At least they wouldn't suspect me of wanting to steal the groom if I answered this, right?
"Can you name the bride then?" He crossed his arms, with a little twitch on his mouth that formed a smirk. Huh, is he suspecting me, this guard?
"What?!"
"Can you?"
"I...of course..." If I wasn't worried of being thought of as a mad woman, I'd have beaten up myself to death there and then.
"Then, say it..."
"Oh, Jiwoo ssi. You changed your mind?"
"I...J...Jerry ssi?" My head tilted in surprise and awe. He looked a little different, without his glasses, and a different hair style than the usual somewhat messy one...and he's...shining, as in, literally...with his gold coloured suit. Why would someone wear gold to a wedding? I mean, it's just a wedding. Unless it's him who's...
"You know her?" The annoying guard narrowed his eyes. I wanted to kick him so badly.
"Of course I do. She's with me."
"I am? But...why are you...you mean, ...this is that wedding?"
"Of course, or why else are we here?" He laughed and bowed to the guard before pulling my hand inside the building, that I just realized, looked more like an old western castle. How could it be this coincidental? It doesn't make sense. No...I'm not supposed to be here with him.
I pulled my hand abruptly, and he stopped and turned to me.
"I...this is a mistake. I got to the wrong place...I'm...I'm going back. Bye."
"Do you think you can disappear and appear and disappear again just like magic show?" He pulled my hand again, this time with a tighter grip.
"What? ...but...I don't intend to come here...I mean, not to this w
