The figure stand at the edge of lake. Viewing the surroundings, her lips curves a warm smile. She closed her eyes, feeling the cool air as her mind rewind someone's words.

"Remember, no matter how hard the hurdles will be, you must to be strong. Always tell yourself, there's nothing can obstruct your path. I believe, you will be a very awosome person in future," 

The kid look at the tall boyish with her small eyes. 

"But Amber, I want to be handsome and kind like you. Can I?" 

Amber smiled sweetly. She ruffled the kid's hair and hugged her tightly. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Don't be, you'll suffer in your whole life, Conan..." 

 

 

Conan was taken aback as a pair of hands blinded her eyes. All her memories was dissapeared when she get off the hands and turned around. She stared at the long haired girl with a small eyes.

 

"Why are you looking at me like that? There's a problem huh?" 

 

"You disturb my lovely day dream, again." 

 

The girl laughed. She took a step forward and circled her arms around the tall tomboy's neck. Smiling, she whispered slowly as their forehead touched. "I'm sorry?"  

Conan nodded,but with her pouted lips. 

 

"What's with that face?" the girl frowned. 

 

"You already forgot our deal,Hongyok," Conan muttered, still pouting. The girl named Hongyok eyed her lover with a clueless expression. 

 

"What deal? Did we made a deal before??? Seriously?" 

 

"Yeah, if we're feeling sorry, kisses must be along with apologize. And..." Conan paused, she pulled Hongyok closer to her and asked, "there's already a sorry, where's the kisses?" 

Hongyok bit her lips, trying to avoid Conan's intense stare, she look down at her feet. 

 

"We're in public, Nan. People can see us," She stated shyly. Gently pushed the boyish at her chest, Hongyok managed to free herself from the tight hug. But Conan succeed to grab her at arms. Once again, she stared at the younger with a smile. Caressing Hongyok's hand with her thumb, the latter titled her head and kissed the shy girl's forehead gently. Then they look at each other's eyes. 

 

 

"I love you, Hongyok. I really-really love you so much," Conan confessed. Hongyok nodded. Still ashamed with her lover's deep stares, she embraced Conan's waist and buried her head at the taller girl's chest. With a low voice, Hongyok replied, 

 

 

"Love you to, Nan," and she tighten the hug.

2 January 2003. 

 

"Hey Amber, look there," the boyish still concentrating at the book when her bestfriend tapped her shoulder and pointed at one direction. She secretly was amazed as her eyes captured the figure who is standing quietly at the wooden shelf. 

Krystal Jung. 

 

"Yah, wipe your mouth,it's drooling," her friends said, chuckling as she ran her hands on Amber's short hair. "I tell you, Amber. Go confess to that Jung, if you wont, I will tell her that you had a crush on her, keke," Luna said playfully and stucked her tounge. 

 

"Better you dont, Luna-moon, or want me to tell Onew first about your secret letter?" Amber smirked. The shorter girl quickly covered as she looked around them. "Alright! I wont!" she whispered with a forced tone then. 

Amber laughed, put off Luna's hands from , the tomboy focused back on her book. "Come on, we're close to finish the homework.You dont want to stand again at the corridor,right?" 

 

"Yeah, understand you NerdyBer," 

 

There was a silence between them because both Amber and Luna were 100% concentrated at the files on the table. Amber is on her last year of high school meanwhile Luna is a year younger than her. They were lost in their messy mind when the table was suddenly knocked by someone. 

 

"Yah you two, where's can I find the encyclopedia of nature?" 

Amber chocked without a reason as her eyes met the girl. She lost her words. Meanwhile the girl just look at her with a frown. Luna giggled then replied, 

 

"Oh usually it's at the second row after the main door," 

 

"Hurm.. really? I've been searching there, but still can't find it," she muttered helplessly. Looking at the blanking Amber, she asked. "Can you help me,oppa?" 

 

 

 

 

The bestfriends staring at each other when they heard the girl's just addressed Amber as an 'oppa'. Luna was the first to came back into the reality and immediately pushed her friend up. She laughed meanwhile Amber awkwardly stood and scratched her head. 

 

"Krystal, Amber-oppa is ready to help you," Luna simply said then continued complete her homeworks then.

Krystal stole a glanze at the person beside her. What should I do? Apologize? Oh no, this is so embarassing! 

 

"Uhm... op---n-no I mean unnie... Err, I'm so sorry..." she managed to speak out when both of them still walking side to side along the hallway. Amber chuckled as she eyed the pretty girl beside her. 

 

"It's not a big deal,Krystal-sshi. I'm dressed boyishly, so people always mistook me like what you did,"she paused and stopped taking a step further. Looking at the girl directly, Amber extended the thick book to Krystal with a smile. "Here's your enyclopedia. I hope you will finish you work nicely," 

 

For the first time, Krystal felt so calm as she met Amber's warm smile. She took the book and replied, "Thank you, unnie," 

 

"Most welcome," Amber muttered, with her hand inside the pocket. Her heart leaped in joy when Krystal gave her the first smile. How much I wanna see you smile at me, only God knows, Krystal Jung. Amber said to herself. 

 

"Alright then, I will excuse myself first,okay? See you again, Amber unnie," Krystal stated, bowing politely then slowly turned around and walked away. Left the tomboy who is calmly just stand and stare the long haired girl slowly dissapear from her sight. Her lips curved upwards as she remembered the girl's sweet smile.

 The little child is playing with her beloved friends when the tall person came and called her name. She rushly ran and hugged her legs tightly. 

 "Amber! I'm happy to see you again!" she stated excitedly as she looked up at the smiling tomboy. Amber kneeled and faced the child with a wide smile. "My brave Conan is getting taller huh? What you eat? Ziraffe's bones?" 

 

"No, I eat milk and vegetables everyday. I wanna be tall and handsome,just like you," little Conan proudly answered, making the tomboy laughed at her. She carressed the smooth cheeks gently and pulled the tiny body to her embrace for a hug. 

 

"Conan, today will be your last day seeing me and my last day seeing you," Amber stated. Trying hard to hold back her tears.  

The girl broke the hug and stared at Amber's eyes with a frown. "Why? You didnt like me anymore?" she began to cry. Amber shooked her head. Wiping her own tears, she managed to mutter, 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"I didnt belong here,Conan. I have to go,"

Conan POV 

 

It was my last day to meet Amber. The person who taught me to be brave and to love beautifully. I looked up into the sky. The light blue colour is Amber's favourite. She's maybe resting peacefully up there. My strong and kind Amber, I hope you're smilling right now. 

 

 

 

 

 

Cause I managed to find Krystal and tell her that, 

 

 

 

 

You love her so much.
