For thousands of years, werewolves have roamed the earth, most of them hidden deep within the forests, while others choose to quietly co-exist with humans too oblivious to know when a wolf is staring them in the face.

Every year more than one hundred pups are born into the world, and every century a handful of those pups are born hybrids: male wolves who, upon ual maturity, can bear pups in the same way a female wolf would. The difference is that hybrid males survive childbirth more often than female wolves.

Because of this, and the fact that they tend to possess female-like qualities that give them an ethereal type of beauty, hybrids are highly sought out as mates, though by the time most hybrids are discovered they've already been mated. But there is a pack, hidden deep within the forest off the Northern city borders, rumored to bear only male hybrid pups.  

Those pups are raised for a time and then dispersed among the hundreds of other packs to ensure the survival of the species.

Even rarer than pups born as hybrids, are pups born as alpha hybrids. Those pups are born in threes once every millennia and more often than not go on to become one of two pack leaders, alongside their mates.

But as is quite often the case, many are hidden away amongst the humans, abandoned as pups by their parents for fear that their child might be given to an abusive alpha as a mate.

Pups living amongst humans often have no idea of their wolf lineage until the signs of ual maturity rear its ugly head in the form of the first heat. And although the first heat is difficult even for young pups who are taught how to deal with their coming of age, for pups who are unaware, and therefore unprepared, the first heat is brutal. The hyper arousal and constant need for ual intimacy is overwhelming to the point that they will often succumb to the first male alpha who crosses their path.

Wu Yifan is an alpha wolf of the highest order born into a pack of assimilated wolves led by his father, Wu Hangeng, and cared for by his mother, Song Qian. They live quietly amongst the humans, in the wealthier part of the Gangnam District, and are considered to be the royal family of the werewolf world.

Often teased by his friends for being a stereotypical ‘lone wolf’, Yifan, in his 300 years of existence, has never known the pleasure of having a mate. But he knows that his mate exists, for wherever he goes the boy’s scent seems to follow him. It haunts him in his dreams and drives him increasingly angry with each passing day because he knows that his mate is somewhere nearby, can feel it in his bones, but for the two centuries the boy has evaded him.

With each passing day the scent grows stronger, and Yifan knows this is because the boy is reaching ual maturity, can practically taste the boy’s innocence on his tongue. And he knows deep within the dark recesses of his mind that it won’t be long before he can claim the boy once and for all. Takes great pleasure in knowing that he will be the one to taint the boy’s pure soul.

Kim Jongin is a pup living amongst humans, abandoned as a newborn on the outskirts of the city and taken in by a family of assimilated werewolves living in the Jeolla Province. He lives peacefully alongside the humans, aware of what he is but oblivious to the fact that he is one of the few remaining unmated and highly sought after alpha hybrids, and that his destined mate is the oldest son of the werewolf world’s royal family.

When their two worlds finally collide, a chaotic love story is born.
