MBLAQ’s concert is over and Lee Joon is leaving the building. Joon thought to himself, thinking in an Elvis announcer voice. This week has been the most crazy hectic week of my life. Photo shoots, interviews for TV and magazines, commercial filmings, and finally today’s concert had pushed me to the limit. I’m exhausted. Promotions for this album had just ended which means a well deserved break for MBLAQ before working on the new one. I was just about to open the front door and leave the concert hall when I remembered that I left my coat in the dressing room. Dammit. Why does it have to be so cold outside? I thought to myself, watching the snow fall outside the window. I really just wanted to go home and sleep, but it was definitely too cold to be outside in just a t-shirt and skinny jeans. At least I don’t have to be outside in the outfits we wear for concerts. I walked back to the dressing room, cursing the stairs for being so tiring to climb, and laughing to myself at the mental image of being stuck in the snow wearing that weird non-shirt I have to wear for our song, Oh Yeah. When I got to the dressing room I noticed the light was still on. Weird, I thought everyone had left. I opened the door as quietly as possible and saw my band mate, Mir, sitting in the corner of the room with his face in his hands, crying.

“Mir? What’s wrong?”

Mir looked up at me and pouted angrily.

“Go away!” He shouted, throwing a pillow at me. “I’m mad at you!”

I walked over to where he was sitting and sat next to him.

“I told you to go away.” He said between sobs.

“What did I do to make you so sad?”

This only made him cry harder, his nose began to run and he wiped it on his shirt sleeve like a little kid.

“You forgot…something important.”

I searched my brain, thinking of something I could have forgotten. This whole week was so crazy, it was all a blur. What was I thinking about before this week? I remember complaining about the cold…and that I needed to hurry up and buy a present for…MIR’S BIRTHDAY!

“Omo! Your birthday is today! I’m so sorry, Mir!” I shouted, throwing my arms around the younger boy in a hug that was definitely past due. “I was just so worried about the concert and stuff, I completely forgot. I’m so sorry!”

Mir had his arms around my waist and was sobbing into my chest.

“Because you and the other hyungs didn’t say anything, I thought you were planning a surprise for me. I thought at the concert you would announce it was my birthday, but you never did. That’s why I’m so sad.”

Mir was crying really hard now. I tried to calm him down by rubbing his shoulders. I rested my head on top of his and tried to speak to him in a soothing voice.

“Shh…Mir~~~I’m so sorry~~~I know it’s too late, but I promise that tomorrow I’ll give you the best birthday ever.”

Mir’s sobbing gradually slowed down until his breathing was back to normal and the tears stopped.

“Promise?”

“I promise.” I said, his hair.

“I get to do whatever I want?”

“Anything you want.”

Mir sat up straight and wiped off his tears. Suddenly a big smile appeared on his face and he looked up at me cutely.

“Really?”

I laughed.

“Yes, really!”

“You’re the best! Hyung, saranghae~~~”

Mir threw his arms around me and hugged me very tightly. I hugged him back. What have I gotten myself into?
