I may look like a candid princess. Or something similar. But I can’t stop myself from smiling. It’s been two years. Today, is our anniversary. And yes, I am feeling excited. I have no work today, and here I am, laying on the bed, rolled in the sheets, having his scent all around me. The clock on the wall tells me is already kind of late. I promised him I’ll come get him at work. He told me several times not to be late today. I am absolutely sure that he’s prepared something for this evening. It makes me even more excited. He really is not the type of man who’s going to offer me presents every time, or take me to a restaurant as a “special” meeting, or even date? Yes, even date is unusual with him. We spend time together. That’s all. It’s always been that way. Nothing really official, nothing really unique, just the two of us doing together whatever we’d want to do. So, whenever he prepares an event, I can easily know.

A quick and fresh shower, and my body feels totally awake. My mood cannot be and higher, or can it? Music sounds in each room of this flat, and, I’ve opened the windows to let the sun get in. It’s a wonderful day. We’re blessed. Skinny jeans, large white tank top, beige shoes, hair done. I look myself in the mirror. Should I go back to red hair? He told me he loved it a lot. I take my bag and my keys, and go out. It’s time.

Parking in front of the sports complex, I waited for him. As usual, I was sitting on  my car’s hood. I texted him, as ever, telling him I was here.

Msg: Can you come in? I’m not ready yet.

So, my surprise is waiting for me in the inside? He is working as a dance coach. He had already won several dance competitions, and, when he has free time, I can usually catch him judging some dance battle in the neighborhood. As I go inside, I can’t stop wondering what my present is about. The butterflies in my stomach are getting impatient
